    Hi Team,

When I purchase a ticket on the single event page it shows that “You have 1 ticket for this event.” and a hyperlink to view the ticket, but when I click on the hyperlink it goes to a 404 page. I am wondering if a user has purchased a ticket, where can he view it and why the hyperlink is not working. Please help.

    Regards,

    Hey Irina,

    Sorry to hear this!

I cannot recreate this behavior on my site, so the first thing I would recommend you do is upgrade all of your The Events Calendar and Event Tickets plugins to their latest versions.

    You’re currently using these versions:

    • Event Tickets Plus version 4.2.7.1
    • Event Tickets version 4.2.7
    • The Events Calendar: Filter Bar version 4.2.2
    • The Events Calendar version 4.2.7
    • The Events Calendar PRO version 4.2.6

Please upgrade to the latest versions which are as follows:

    • Event Tickets Plus version 4.3.3
    • Event Tickets version 4.3.3
    • The Events Calendar: Filter Bar version 4.3.3
    • The Events Calendar version 4.3.3
    • The Events Calendar PRO version 4.3.3

You can access the latest versions of all plugins here → https://theeventscalendar.com/my-account/downloads/

Updating all plugins to their most recent version is the first step here, before any further steps can be taken; once you’ve updated all plugins listed above, let us know if the issues persist!

    Thanks,
    George

    Hi George,

I am still facing the same issue after updating all the plugins. Sent you the system information in a separate mail.

    Thanks for updating, @Irina!

I am using all the same versions of our software as you are, but cannot reproduce the issue you describe here where the “View Your Tickets” link is a 404.

We have no other reports of this behavior at this time.

With these facts in mind, then, there are two main things I would recommend for you to do:

    1. First, try the steps recommended in this Knowledgebase article: https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/fixing-http-404-errors/

    2. If the steps in that article don’t help at all, then do the complete set of steps recommended in this Knowledgebase article → https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/testing-for-conflicts/ After EACH STEP, go back to the single event page with a “View your Tickets” link, refresh the page, and try the link again—see if anything improves anywhere along the way in the process.

I am sorry to recommend these steps, @Irina! The reason for it, though, is that you are the only person reporting these issues at this time, and we cannot recreate these issues. So it seems like there is a plugin or theme code conflict on your site which may be causing the issues you’re facing.

The issues I recommended above will help prove if that’s the case or not.

Let us know what you find!

    Thanks,
    George

    Hi George,

I tried to go with the default wordpress permalinks options after deactivating that plugin. The events and tickets display properly only with %postname% option. I am wondering why is it not working with /%year%/%monthnum%/%postname%/, as this option is also wordpress default.

Also, i am looking for a workaround for this. Is there a way to print the ticket on the same single event listing page for the logged in users who have purchased the ticket rather than opening in a new link (URL/ticket/) ?

    Please let me know.

    Hi @Irina,

I’m going to answer things out of order so that we can keep the main focus here on your permalinks issues—we can address other questions later. For now, you ask this:

Also, i am looking for a workaround for this. Is there a way to print the ticket on the same single event listing page for the logged in users who have purchased the ticket rather than opening in a new link (URL/ticket/) ?

☝️ No, there’s no way to modify this behavior with our plugins. You could only do so with extensive custom coding beyond the scope of support. 🙁 I’m sorry to bear that news!

If you are so keen on these features that you’re indeed willing to hire a customizer to help you implement them, we have a list of customizers here that might be helpful → http://m.tri.be/18k1 (and we have no affiliation with any of these folks–they’re simply some well-respected names in the community that we’ve compiled).

    Hi @Irina,

Coming back to the main issue here:

I have tested with all of the default Permalink options and I have no issues. Here is a 30-second screencast video showing my findings, just so you know that I’m not being dishonest here! → https://cloudup.com/c92qo-waZL6

    When you say this:

The events and tickets display properly only with %postname% option. I am wondering why is it not working with /%year%/%monthnum%/%postname%/, as this option is also wordpress default.

    1. ↑ Can you confirm if you are still testing these permalink options within the settings page of that permalinks plugin? Or have you deactivated this plugin for now, and are only using the built-in WordPress Permalinks page at Settings → Permalinks in your wp-admin?

    2. I just noticed that your site’s version of WordPress is outdated. This could be a factor here. So please update your site. You’re currently using version 4.4.1—the most recent version is 4.6.1

    Thank you,
    George
