Hello, we have a problem with your plugin “The Events Calendar” in our wordpress multisite, after some plugins, and themes updating we are enable to create a new post, event, or page when “The Events Calendar” is activated on the site, it reeturns an 500 error. Below we send the message from our error log.

As I said, it only happens if your plugin is activated (The normal events calendar, not the pro), if not, we can create pages and post as usual. We are unable to locate exactly in what point in the past this error started to happen, so we can’t go back.

Theme is AVADA last version, and we use plugins like WPML.

    Hey Antoni,

Thank you for reaching out to us!

I’m sorry to hear you are not able to add events, posts or pages on your site. I would love to help you to solve this problem!

By the sound of it, it looks like there is some type of conflict at play. This is usually caused by a conflict with another plugin, with your WordPress theme or with a template customization for the Events Calendar that requires updating.

Since I can’t replicate the issue you are experiencing from here, I would suggest you to run our Conflicts Test.

You can start the test by temporarily changing your theme to another one like Twenty Seventeen and deactivating all of your plugins (except Modern Tribe plugins) and let us know if the issue persists after that.

Please share with us your test results. If you need anything else in the mean time, please let me know and I’ll be happy to assist!

    Best regards,

    Patricia

Hi Particia, thanks for your help.
I’ve completed steps 1, 2 and 3 of your Conflicts Test procedure and error keeps staying, as you can see:

Catchable fatal error: Argument 2 passed to Tribe__Events__Meta__Save::__construct() must be an instance of WP_Post, null given, called in C:\xampp\htdocs\morellaV1\wp-content\plugins\the-events-calendar\src\Tribe\Main.php on line 2951 and defined in C:\xampp\htdocs\morellaV1\wp-content\plugins\the-events-calendar\src\Tribe\Meta\Save.php on line 33

    Wordpress version: 4.8.2
    Events version: 4.4.5

When I disable Events plugin it works perfectly.
    Can you heklp please?
    Thanks in advance!

    Hi Antoni,

Thanks for sharing your test results with us! I’ve reviewed your system information and it seems that you are running an outdated version of The Events Calendar: your version is 4.4.5 and the latest version is 4.5.12.2. Can you please make sure that all of your plugins (specially Modern Tribe plugins) are up to date? Let me know if everything works as expected after updating them.

If the issue persists even after the plugins update, can you please send me your site files and database in a private reply so I can run some tests from here?

    Thanks!

    Patricia

Hi, I’ve disabled all plugings from all subsites and from network, all but tribe ones (calendar and calendar pro), we have the latest version of both plugins, and wordpress, and we tried with defaults themes and the error still persists.

I will send you the online version (We did the last updates on local). The online versions lacks some plugins updates etc… but the error is the same so….

We have an slow connection so it is gonna take a couple hours to upload the files.
