Hi,
1) I purchased Facebook Events in October and have not been able to get it activated and have been going round in circles trying to get an App ID etc., Can I get a refund for this product as I have never used it?2) I am considering Events Calendar Pro again. I purchased it last year and then replaced with Community Calendar instead and was refunded. Is there a way I can get it again (EC Pro) at this price?
#938923 January 29, 2015 Refunded $65.00 $0.00 for 1 item View
And actually I have an additional question about Pro – is this product what makes events images show on hover as I seem to have lost that function on my calendar.

I am not sure what you mean here, is this in the month view?
If so we have a guide for that:

Thanks
December 1, 2015 at 7:22 pm #1033551CatherineGuestHi,
Thanks Brian – no, not about getting an image in the date listings. I used to be able to hover over the listing and the event photo would show (is that the tooltip I wonder?)
Maybe it’s a Pro feature?December 2, 2015 at 5:34 am #1033634BrianKeymasterThe image in the tooltip is not a feature of Pro or Core.
It has to be manually added by you following this guide:
https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/adding-featured-images-to-month-view/
Maybe that coding got changed in your theme?
December 5, 2015 at 12:31 am #1035862CatherineParticipantHi,
Previously when I hovered over any given listing in the month, I’d get the featured image used in the listing kind of hovering on the cursor or whatever, but not an image in the date box itself. Do you know what I mean?I got Pro but no different – in fact the only benefit to me having pro is the recurring event check box, which I guess is worth it…)
Thanks
December 5, 2015 at 6:49 am #1036085BrianKeymasterThat is not a shipped feature of our plugins.
This guide adds the featured image to the toolbox:
https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/adding-featured-images-to-month-view/
That is all I have for it.
December 5, 2015 at 10:52 am #1036125CatherineParticipantThanks Brian,
Well that is the weirdest thing then – I had that function or whatever it’s called for most of the year. Must’ve been an aberration! Thanks!December 5, 2015 at 12:20 pm #1036131CatherineParticipantNeed urgent help and have a question: can I delete Community Events plugin I have installed and upload the new version you have?
Something messed up when I purchased Pro, added it and updated basic event calendar. Lost the site with this kind of error:Fatal error: Cannot redeclare tribe_is_community_my_events_page() (previously declared in /home/content/p3pnexwpnas01_data02/40/2965540/html/wp-content/plugins/the-events-calendar/src/functions/template-tags/query.php:67) in /home/content/p3pnexwpnas01_data02/40/2965540/html/wp-content/plugins/the-events-calendar-community-events/src/functions/template-tags.php on line 13
So I had to deactivate community calendar in order to get site back, but need to have it available for someone to add events later today. Help!
and Thanks!
December 6, 2015 at 12:37 pm #1036504BrianKeymasterHi,
Sorry for the issues here. I can work with you to resolve this.
If you updated The Events Calendar to 4.0 and leave Community Events at 3.12.x or earlier it will break the site. If you cannot update Community Events for whatever reason you should remain on 3.12.6 for the Events Calendar and follow the steps below to set that up.
Unfortunately, the only way to fix it is to access the files of you site and delete the older version of Community Events. This process itself does not delete or change any of your settings in the database.
This can be done by either your hosting account file manager or through ftp. The files will be found here:
wp-content/plugins/the-events-calendar-community-events/
Please make sure to remove all copies of Community Events.
That will bring your site back and then you can download the latest version of Community Events (4.0) from your account here and manually upload it to your site.
We also have this guide for manual updates:
https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/manual-updates/
If you need your site right away with community events I recommended downgrading to the 3.12.x for all the plugins.
You can download the older versions from your account here on theeventscalendar.com and older versions of the core plugin here: https://wordpress.org/plugins/the-events-calendar/developers/
And follow these steps for manual updates:
https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/manual-updates/
If you have issues please let me know and I can help out.
Thanks
