    I am going around in circles trying to get an App ID etc.,

    Here’s what happens:

    “You currently have no apps integrated with Facebook and I click on “Create a New App” Then I go to next window and add name, category and then click “create app”

    Finally the message I get reads:
    “This account is not authorised to manage apps. Please use your verified personal FB account to create and manage apps”

    Does this mean that because I have a business FB page, I can’t use this plugin? I have spent lots of time trying to get this to make some sense.

    Any ideas?

    Hi,

    Sorry for the issues here.

    That error sounds like you have not verified you account with Facebook by using a phone number.

    Facebook requires that before making an app.

    Go to https://developers.facebook.com and look for a place to verify your account and do that first, then you should be able to create the app.

    Thanks Brian,
    I went there, and have been there before – but don’t see a place to verify account –

    it seems whatever I do I end up back at that “Create a New App ID” place that goes in a circle as described before.

    Hi Brian, and thanks for your help.

    I finally found where to verify my account and just did that with my mobile number etc., but now still circling back to problem with getting app ID. Still saying account can’t be authorized for apps. Grrr, I think I have to give up on this as I’m not getting anywhere. As I have never use this Facebook Events plugin, can I get a refund? I will reinstate Events Calendar Pro instead I think.
