The problem is that I wan’t to take my local .po file, translate rest of it and use the plugin – but there’s no way to do that. I’ll try to turn off plugins, theme, translate both .po language files (child and parent – pro and free) also add missing record in .pot files (for some reason there’s some words that are missing in this file). It’s also strange that in some cases I’ve found a record, translate it but I can’t see it on front. It doesn’t take any effect.
Also, I don’t understand the philosophy of two, separated .po files – ok, it’s pro and free but when I’ve buy license why I must switch between this two all the time?
It’s good plugin, there’s so many options etc. But after I buy this, not so cheap stuff and have many problems with translating after couple hours of invastigating this problem I give up..
What else can I do now, I want to start using this and go further with other things in my site..

    Howdy Borys,

Welcome to our support forums and thanks for reaching out to us.

Sorry for the hassle with translations 🙁 We received a couple of more reports on translations malfunctioning during the weekend, and it seems that something went wrong in the update to 4.2 of our plugins.

We are actively looking into this issue to get more info and a workaround. For now downgrading the plugins to version 4.1.1 is the best solution. Please follow the steps outlined in this article to do so → Downgrading a plugin to a past version.

I’ll set the status to ‘Pending Fix’ and will give you some more info when we discover what’s up!

    Thanks,
    Nico

    Hi there,

Just wanted to inform you that yesterday we released a hot fix for the translation issues introduced in version 4.2. Please go ahead and update to The Events Calendar 4.2.1.1 and/or Event Tickets 4.2.1.1. After doing so the translation issues should be gone!

Read more about this release here → Release: The Events Calendar and Event Tickets 4.2.1.1

Thanks for the patience while we worked on this issue,
    Nico

    Hi,
Thanks for looking into this. I see that some translations now work.
    But others still don’t.
    For example:

    Send RSVP confirmation to:
    Attendee %d

    Both in the-events-calendar-da_DK.po
I can edit both and everything looks fine except it doesn’t change in the frontend.
I’m using both The Events Calendar PRO and Event Tickets Plus, both of there are 4.2.1

    Best regards,
    Claus Bo

    Hey Claus,

Thanks for chiming in, but can you please open up a new thread for this? Having just a user/issue per thread usually makes them move faster. When creating the new thread please be sure to Test for conflicts and include your system information, that will surely help getting a better reply. You can also include a link back to this thread if you want to give the issue a bit more context.

Also please check if there’s actually a translation for that string: https://translate.wordpress.org/projects/wp-plugins/event-tickets/stable/da/defaulthttps://translate.wordpress.org/projects/wp-plugins/the-events-calendar/stable/da/default

Regarding the edit of the files, the edited copies should be place in a particular directory to get loaded. Take a look → How to Override Plugin Language Files.

@Borys, please let me know if the issue is solved after the update!

    Thanks,
    Nico
