Hello. We are experiencing the same thing. All updates have been installed. Everything looks good until I save the ticket info and then it just reverts back to the starting point.

    PLEASE LEAVE FOR SUPPORT

Today when I looked at the event I created yesterday, all 12 or tickets I added yesterday when they didn’t display were there. I deleted the event as it was clearly messy, and then when I created events today I also cannot add a ticket that gets displayed.

    Hi There!

Thanks for reaching out to us!

Just wanted to let you know that we are dealing with a high volume of threads at the moment and it may take us more than usual to get back to you.

Also please provide as much information about the issue as possible and share links and screenshots so we can have as reference.

Finally, don’t forget to share your complete system information by following the steps in this guide > https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/sharing-sys-info/

We appreciate your patience while we slowly get back to normal response times.

    Hi Bethany,

Thanks for your patience with this.

Let me help you troubleshoot the issue you are having.

When creating a new ticket or an event, could you please see if there are any console errors by inspecting that page? We have an article that explains how to do that here > https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/using-google-chrome-developer-tools/

Additionally, please enable WP_DEBUG and WP_DEBUG_LOG ? This will create a debug.log file inside the /wp-content directory.

After that, try reproducing the issue a few times, so that in case there is an error, it will be saved into the debug.log file. Please share that log file with us so we can see if any problem from there.

Did you happen to notice a difference when deactivating all other plugins or switching to a default WordPress theme, like Twenty Seventeen? What happens if you try deactivating all plugins and switching to the Twenty Seventeen theme together? Do you notice a difference then?

If you see no difference in those conditions, then we’ll need to do some deeper troubleshooting

Please let us know about that.

    Thanks,
    Victor

I got all the developer notices about finding the bug and that it might take a while to solve the issue, but it has been 2 weeks since I have been able to add new events with ticketing. This is a serious disruption to my business needs. Any estimation about when I might be back to being able to add event tickets again or is there a work around or other solution? I need this to work- and is the reason I am paying for this plug-in. Any update would be really appreciated.

    Hi Bethany,

Thanks for following up with this topic.

I can confirm we have found an issue that causes new tickets to not show up in the event (nor frontend or backend), but it only applies to site’s using object cache.

Just to confirm you are having the same issue, could you please verify if you have any sort of caching system enabled? If so, please try disabling it and see if any difference.

What hosting are you currently using? the caching might be being made on the server side of things, so please verify this with your hosting company too.

Please let me know about this so we can confirm the issue and hopefully find a workaround for you

    Thanks,
    Victor

We are hosted by Word Press and any caching would be done by them.

    Hi Bethany,

Thanks for letting us know about that.

I’ve made a few tests with WordPress.com and I could reproduce the issue you are having.

I will set this thread’s status to “Pending fix” and link it to the report. This way, we will notify you once a fix is released in one of our next maintenance releases of our plugins.

The workaround for most users is to disable object caching on their sites, but I could not find any way to do so in WordPress.com. Could you please get in touch with them and see if they can disable this for your site?

If that is not an option, you could also downgrade to Event tickets 4.6.3.1 where the issue is not present. We have a guide to downgrade a plugin > https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/downgrading-plugin-past-version/

We always suggest to setup a dev/staging site so you can test things out and make all plugins, theme and WordPress core updates without disrupting the live site.

We apologize for the inconvenience and we appreciate your patience while we work on this.

    Thanks,
    Victor

Hey there! This thread has been pretty quiet for the last three weeks, so we’re going to go ahead and close it to avoid confusion with other topics. If you’re still looking for help with this, please do open a new thread, reference this one and we’d be more than happy to continue the conversation over there.

    Thanks so much!
