When I click UPCOMING COURSES in the nav > NEXT EVENTS at the bottom of the page = “There were no results found.”

But if I refresh the page the events appear. Is there something I can do do make the NEXT EVENTS load when you first click?

I have set the EVENTS PER PAGE to 20 to try and avoid having to click NEXT but it will only display 5.

Is there anything I can do?

Hi, Jonathan. Sorry you’re experiencing this.

I am unable to replicate this behavior so I’d suggest following our recommended troubleshooting steps:

Could you please make sure all your Modern Tribe plugins (and WordPress core) are at their latest versions?

Once you verify you’re on the latest versions, please test to see if the issue is still happening for you.

If it is, please follow our Testing for Conflicts Guide (basically switch to TwentySixteen theme and deactivate all plugins and custom code other than Modern Tribe plugins) and see if that helps narrow down the cause of this.

If it doesn’t, please enable WP_DEBUG and WP_DEBUG_LOG and share any PHP errors you see while changing tickets quantity, navigating your site’s home page, events page, single-event pages, and any other of your site’s pages relevant to this ticket.

Then, please share your System Information (while in Testing for Conflicts mode).

You might also see if you can spot any console errors at your site. (If needed, you may reference our KB article Using Google Chrome Developer Tools.)

Let us know what you find out.

    Thanks.

Thanks Cliff i’ll look into that.

I was just looking through the site and noticed that some of the events hadn’t saved the venue info. When I went back to add it in and update – it didn’t save.

For some reason it won’t save the Venue info on certain events (this one for example: http://prstats2.uk.w3pcloud.com/course/network-analysis-ecologists-ntwa01/)

    You can see here:
    http://prstats2.uk.w3pcloud.com/courses/list/?tribe_paged=2&tribe_event_display=list

But on a copy of the site it works just fine (here:)

    http://prstatistics.uk.w3pcloud.com/courses/list/?tribe_paged=2&tribe_event_display=list

Is this part of the same issue?

Could you please send me a screenshot of the wp-admin screen of http://prstats2.uk.w3pcloud.com/course/network-analysis-ecologists-ntwa01/

Is there a Venue already assigned to it? If not, please send me a screenshot of the Venue you are trying to assign to it.

If you can, a screen capture video might be helpful here too.

It starts as the blank venue screenshot > I set it (the 1st screenshot) and update the page but it reverts back to the 2nd screenshot again.

I have screen recorded the process: http://www.screencast.com/t/tZqREI29Jq

Thanks for that helpful update, Jonathan. We’re unable to replicate this issue.

You have a notice right at the top of your screen that says your PRO add-on is out of date and things may not work properly. You should always be using the latest version of all Modern Tribe plugins and WordPress core.

In summary, I’m referring you back to my initial reply. Please follow those steps.

I tried updating the plugin – I have the zip file but because there is a version already installed & there is a conflict with names. I can’t see another obvious way to update the plugin? and I don’t want to lose the data already saved to the plugin.

    Hi Jonathan.

Deleting The Events Calendar or its add-on plugins will NOT delete any of your data if you delete it via the WordPress plugin manager because that’s how we’ve decided to code our plugin.

FYI: deleting any plugin via FTP or cPanel’s File Manager (i.e. deleting just the files from the server) will also ensure a plugin gets deleted (if you delete the entire plugin folder) without removing any data from the database. This can sometimes be helpful to know in cases where a plugin does run an uninstall routine to delete data (again, our plugins do not run such a routine at this time and probably never will).

You can also see the difference when you click to delete a plugin, like this.

Then you can install a fresh copy of TEC PRO, downloaded from https://theeventscalendar.com/my-account/downloads/

I have updated the plugin to the most recent version but it doesn’t make a difference to either of the issues I am having.

The events page will only show 5 events per page and shows an error when trying to view the “next page” & on a handful of events the location venue won’t save – is there anything I can do? or is there a bug with plugin?

When you click “previous events” first – it stops showing just 5 events per page (error – as it’s set to 20)
then when you click “next events” is shows 20 (as per settings) therefore not needing a “next events” link.

But if you click “next events” first – it shows an error and if you refresh it shows the rest of the events – obviously the client can’t have this for his site. Which is why I set it 20 events per page to avoid needing the “next events” link at all but there seems to be an error with both.

Is there anything that can be done because the client wants the site to be live now and it’s taken 9 days of back and forth.

    Gotcha.

Please read through our Fix Divi theme pagination problems KB article and let me know how that works for you.

Thanks – That has helped with the pagination but the event locations still aren’t saving the venues. The client is desperate to go live, is there anything I can do to fix that?

I’m glad that solved your pagination issue!

I’d suggest following our Troubleshooting steps (my initial reply to this thread) to try to figure out what’s going on with that Venue not saving issue.

FYI for the future: In our forums we keep our threads focused on just one issue at a time to ensure we fully answer each of your questions/issues. Please keep this in mind for the future, and thanks for your understanding.

Yes I’m glad we finally got the pagination sorted.
