    Hi Guys
I am getting this error when trying to import an ics file directly. I have checked some of the other threads and have change from trying to import a full years work of stuff to simply the month of may but we still get this issue. Where is the JS console so that i can get some more information or what is my next step from here.

I have also tried doing the import via the URL. To get this URL i shared an exchange 365 calendar with an outside user. This sent a link with the webcam URL. I pasted this in to the URL box with both http// and https://
with https i got the message unable to retrieve information from the url
with http i got the same message as when using the ics file

Good evening Nicolas and welcome to the Events Calendar Support forum!

Thank you for reaching out to us. And for running many tests.

We are sorry to hear about the errors you have been getting while trying to import ics files and links.
I would love to help you with this topic.

Where is the JS console so that i can get some more information or what is my next step from here.

You can get more information by using Google Chrome’s web inspector (that includes the JS console): https://developers.google.com/web/tools/chrome-devtools/?hl=en

The somewhat good news is that I was able to import the .ics file (one-time) without getting an error message on my basic installation.

Could you provide me with the URL you are trying to import from as well?

Finally, it is possible that there is a conflict at play.

Could you please go through our testing for conflicts procedure (preferably in a staging/dev environment or local install of your WordPress website) and let us know what you find out.

Basically the goal here is to revert back to a bare WordPress installation to see if the problem persists. It also allows us to pinpoint what the cause of the issue is.

    Best regards,

    Geoff B.

I have tested on another site and the import has worked fine. I might try uninstalling the plugin on the site with the issue and install it again

    Hey Nicolas,

I’m glad you managed to get it working on your end too (although I wish it would have worked on your website).

I am still interested in helping out though.

As a first troubleshooting step, could you please provide us with your complete system information in a private reply using the instructions found in the following link?

    Best regards,

    Geoff B.
