When we create a new event in Visual mode the Line breaks created in visual mode do not show up in the front end of the page.
They also do not appear in the Text mode.
We have to manually put something like
in text mode everywhere we want the line breaks to be. (very tedious work)
Moreover, if we input
s in text mode, then go back to visual mode and change even 1 symbol, going to text mode again we discover that all the
s has disappeared and we have to redo it again.
Also, when we return to update the featured image of an event that has line breaks in the front end, all the line breaks disappear after uploading a new image. Please see screenshots (before and after uploading a new image)
August 18, 2017 at 2:09 pm #1337571CliffMemberHi, Patrick. Sorry you’re experiencing this.
This isn’t currently a known issue so I’d suggest following these recommended troubleshooting steps for your own site:
There might be some new updates available. Could you please make sure all your Modern Tribe plugins (and WordPress core) are at their latest versions?
- Downloads / Version Numbers
- License Keys
- TEC Automatic Updates
- or TEC Manual Updates
- WordPress core updates
Once you verify you’re on the latest versions, please test to see if the issue is still happening for you.
If it is, please follow our Testing for Conflicts Guide (basically switch to Twenty Seventeen theme and deactivate all plugins and custom code other than Modern Tribe plugins) and see if that helps narrow down the cause of this.
Of course, we always recommend restorable database and file backups before modifying anything on your site.
If it doesn’t, please enable WP_DEBUG and WP_DEBUG_LOG (which will create a file on your server at /wp-content/debug.log if there are any WP_DEBUG messages) and share any debug messages you see while trying to replicate this issue and doing other things on your site relevant to this ticket (such as visiting your site’s home page, events page, single-event pages, and anything else you can think to do).
Then, please share your System Information (while in Testing for Conflicts Mode) in a Private Reply. That will give me a lot of extra information to help troubleshoot this.
You might also see if you can spot any console errors at your site. (If needed, you may reference our KB article Using Google Chrome Developer Tools.)
Let us know what you find out.
Thanks.

August 22, 2017 at 8:57 pm #1338884CliffMemberHi, Patrick.
The WP_DEBUG messages will hopefully be corrected by updating all your Modern Tribe plugins (and WordPress core):
- Downloads / Version Numbers
- License Keys
- TEC Automatic Updates
- or TEC Manual Updates
- WordPress core updates
Once you verify you’re on the latest versions, please test to see if the issue is still happening for you.

August 23, 2017 at 9:19 pm #1339506Patrick OanciaParticipantHey Again Cliff:
For one, please check on the links provided here on a cloned version of the site with all plugins and WP core updated.
I created a new archived event: https://yogajaya2.wpengine.com/events/emil-wendel-2005-tokyo-workshop-asana-beyond-test-2/
Entered text in “Visual Mode” with line breaks and the same thing happened. The text gets formatted without the line breaks after I publish.
Please let us know your thoughts.
