ParticipantHello there,
since updating to 3.12 (events calendar pro, community events, filterbar) there are two problems:
1. a problem with the tags: Although the tags are still there, the events are not shown with the tags when clicking on a tag.
See here: http://aachenerkinder.de/tag/kindersachenflohmarkt/
on the website:
http://aachenerkinder.de/veranstaltungen/kategorie/flohmarkt/map/
2. Only old dates (from January to March) on the website
http://aachenerkinder.de/veranstaltungen/kategorie/flohmarkt/map/
are shown when I click on “Previous Events”. When I specify a date on the search, eg. 19.9. recent events are displayed.
thanks for any help

ParticipantSorry to hear about this, @Hans-Gerd!
To get started here, can you share your “System Information” with us? This article shows how to do that → https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/sharing-sys-info/
I will use that to investigate further and we can continue to troubleshoot from there.
In the meantime, can you see if any difference is made with your issues if you go to Settings > Permalinks in your admin area, and just click “Save Changes” without actually making any changes? This may seem like an odd thing to do but is a little “trick” within WordPress to get the permalinks across your site to refresh, which might help here.
Thanks!

ParticipantThanks for this information @Hans-gerd!
There’s nothing that immediately stands out as problematic, so I’m wondering if you can first try setting your “events slug” back to its default option of “events” instead of your current option “veranstaltungen”; then, set your “single event slug” back to its default option of “event” instead of your current option “veranstaltung”.
After doing this change, do the “save permalinks” change I mentioned in first reply.
Does anything improve?
If not, then unfortunately the next best step I can recommend would be to run through our complete set of troubleshooting steps here → https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/testing-for-conflicts/
Do the “Save Permalinks” trick after each step in that process, and see if anything improves along the way. This may seem tedious but is actually much faster to work through than it sounds.
Let us know what you find!
Thank you,

ParticipantHello George,
thanks for your reply.
Setting “events slug” back to its default option of “events” instead of our current option “veranstaltungen” and setting “single event slug” back to its default option of “event” instead of current option “veranstaltung” unfortunately doesn’t solve our problem.
Even if I change the permalinks doesn’t solve the problem.I have tested the first three steps, which are described on https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/testing-for-conflicts/
Unfortunately, there has been similar problems: often the page was not displayed without an error message (also in debug-modus)Since we have major problems with version 3.12, we have now downgraded back our website to 3.11 and will test further steps on our local server next days, because we currently have no time to test it now.
Sincerely

ParticipantHey @Hans-Gerd,
I’m really sorry to hear that the issues persist and that nothing useful was revealed from that testing…this is an odd issue, and on I cannot reproduce, so definitely keep us posted over the next few days about what you find with your local testing!
In the meantime, we will have a Maintenance Release shipping this week that might help here – if you see that update come out, update to that version and see if anything improves 🙂
Cheers, and keep us posted!

ParticipantHey @George,
many thanks for the answer and the information.
We will test this maintenance release on any case, because that is not a satisfactory state.
Of course, we will report here.Cheers

ParticipantThanks @Hans-Gerd!
The 3.12.2 Maintenance Release just shipped last night – let us know if you can update to it and, if so, if anything improves on your site.
Cheers!

ParticipantHey @George,
version 3.12.2 is not offered at https://theeventscalendar.com/my-account/downloads/.
But that would be desirable, so that I can test the Maintenance Release locally.
Or is there another way to get this release ?cheers

ParticipantHey Hans-Gerd,
You should be able to get 3.12.2 at http://wordpress.org/plugins/the-events-calendar – let me know if that helps!

ParticipantHello George,
after testing several hours, here now my results tested on my local server:
Events are shown, tags are shownBut the following error is unfortunately still there (I described this in my first post):
Only old dates (from January to March) on the website
../veranstaltungen/kategorie/flohmarkt/
are shown when I click on “Previous Events”.
When I specify a date on the search, eg. 19.9. recent events are displayed.New bug: when activating the link with the map: ../veranstaltungen/kategorie/flohmarkt/map,
no dates are shown and in the headline of the browser is displayed
“Page Not Found” – the same error when I click on “Show as” selecting Map
This poblem appearing also when viewing other events or other categoriesAnother curious problem: when activating theme twenty thirteen there is a blank screen,
there are no events shown. When activating theme logger events are shown. In a separate private reply I will send you the “System Information”.
Sincerely
Hans-Gerd-

ParticipantHey @Hans-Gerd,
Thank you so much for your patience with this issue. I must admit, though, that I’m not 100% certain what you mean by your comment here:
Only old dates (from January to March) on the website
../veranstaltungen/kategorie/flohmarkt/
are shown when I click on “Previous Events”.
When I specify a date on the search, eg. 19.9. recent events are displayed.I went to http://aachenerkinder.de/veranstaltungen/kategorie/flohmarkt/ and the “Previous Events” link seemed to work fine for me, as did “Next Events”…
I’m sorry if I am misunderstanding the issue there! Can you provide a bit more detail, and perhaps even share screenshots? (You can upload images to Imgur.com and then share links to those screenshots here).
As for your second question, can you clarify that when you say “activating the link with the map”, you mean you are just adding /map to /veranstaltungen/kategorie/flohmarkt/ ?
Thank you for your patience!
George
