GuestHi,
I’m investigating using the calendar plugin on a site using the Gridstack theme. I tested the calendar out by adding it to the site, but find I get a constantly spinning wheel when I go to the calendar. It works if I refresh the page, but it fails on the initial page load each time.I tried some of the the suggestions on your support page but had no luck.
The errors I get are the follwoing..
Uncaught SyntaxError: Unexpected token if

MemberHi. You posted in our Pre-Sales forum from a user account that doesn’t have any purchases associated with it.
We don’t answer support questions for Events core/free or PRO add-on in the Pre-Sales forum.
If you made your purchase(s) through a different user account, please login to that account and then post in one of the paid forums.
Thank you for your understanding and thank you for using our plugins.

GuestCliff,
thanks for your reply. I thought that pre-sales support might include providing some assistance in figuring out why your trial downloads don’t work. You can hardly expect me to proceed to purchase the product if the initial indications are that the product is incompatible with popular themes.
Disappointingly poor support!

MemberSorry you’re disappointed with our support policy.
To clarify, The Events Calendar core/free plugin is not trialware. It is required to stay installed and active for our add-on plugins (e.g. Pro, iCal Importer, Filter Bar, etc) to work.
We do have the following recommended troubleshooting steps:
There might be some new updates available. Could you please make sure all your Modern Tribe plugins (and WordPress core) are at their latest versions?
Once you verify you’re on the latest versions, please test to see if the issue is still happening for you.
If it is, please follow our Testing for Conflicts Guide and see if that helps narrow down the cause of this.
If you determine that it is a conflict with a specific theme that is not a WordPress default theme like TwentyFourteen, TwentyFifteen, TwentySixteen, etc., then you can let us know (and provide us a link to download the theme). Please note, though, that our Scope of Support / Terms does not guarantee compatibility with non-default WordPress themes. However, we know of many themes that work just fine.
I hope this helps! 🙂
