Strange behaviour and duplication of event when viewing events in calendar

Dear All,
I have installed the Events Calendar on our WordPress site, but at present it is not being used because of an issue with strange behaviour when viewing events on the calendar (month view). When I hover the mouse over an event, it duplicates itself including some strange tags. Occasionally, when viewing the calendar the event appears fine but most often this behaviour is present.

Apart from this behaviour all else appears to work as at should.

This is preventing me from purchasing the software and at present the plugin is de-activated
