ParticipantSome events entered recently for 2018 aren’t showing up on the calendar.
Also, the search bar isn’t working properly If I search for that event it doesn’t find it and also doesn’t move to that month in the calendar.

Since having these problems I have today updated the plugin software and also checked the other software on the site.
Do you have any suggestions?

ParticipantActually some searches work – if I search for December 2017 the page for that will load.
If I try to search for August 2018 it will not work.

MemberHi Cathy!
Thanks for reaching out to us! Let me help you with your issue.
This could be related to a theme or plugin conflict, so to narrow the problem down please first go through the steps provided in the testing for conflicts guide > https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/testing-for-conflicts/ and let us know if you see any difference.
When coming back, please share with us your complete system information by following this guide > https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/sharing-sys-info/. We’ll see if there is anything strange that would indicate an error from there.
Thanks,

ParticipantHi Victor,
Neither of those links are working for me. I’m getting the ‘Heavens to
Murgatroid’ page. I have searched for the titles but am not finding them
that way either.Perhaps you sent through a form system. Is it possible to send the links
directly by email so I get them uncorrupted?September 27, 2017 at 7:04 pm #1355907Cathy Newton
ParticipantActually, while they do not work from my email, they do work from here on your post. I will work through them. Thank you.

ParticipantI have tried reverting the theme and also deactivating all plugins. It made no difference.
I must be doing something else incorrectly.One other thing that isn’t right probably is my theme. The search bar choices cannot be seen properly. Do you know how I could fix this?

ParticipantThere is the menu blocking the search view.

MemberHi Cathy!
Thanks for testing that out.
I made a few tests in your site and I could search for August 2018. The only thing I notice is that you have to click the Find Events button to make it work. This is because you might have the Use Javascript to control date filtering option unchecked under Events > Settings > General tab
Regarding the datepicker hiding under the header, this is mostly because of your theme header. Try placing the following CSS styles in your theme’s style.css file or using the WordPress customizer by going to wp-admin > Appearance > Customizer > Additional CSS
.datepicker.dropdown-menu {
z-index: 99999 !important;
}Let me know if it works for you.
Thanks,

ParticipantThank you. Those suggestions worked.
As I went to turn my plugins back on one at a time, I discovered that there is a conflict with Yoast SEO, which I have now left deactivated.
Unfortunately, Yoast SEO is the plugin that allows me to share the calendar on facebook so that it looks good.
Do you have an SEO plugin that you recommend for doing this. All of our communities interact through facebook so sharing it in a format that brings relevant information and images through is important for us.
Thank you for your help.

MemberHi Cathy!
Glad to know it worked out for you.
Good catch about the Yoast SEO plugin. I’m not very familiar with other alternatives for SEO, but I know many users are using All in One SEO, so you could try that one and see if it works for you.
Is there anything else I can help you with? Let me know about it.

ParticipantThank you.
I will try that one.
