    Hi,
I’m an events calendar pro customer, using the latest version of WordPress and latest version of event calendar and events calednar pro. I am not able to edit any of my website’s pages! Instead, I receive the following error message:

Fatal error: in /home/sscs6813/public_html/wp-content/plugins/the-events-calendar/src/Tribe/Admin/Bar/Admin_Bar.php on line 39

When I deactivate the event calendar plugin, I can edit my pages just fine. Are you able to help?

    Thanks.

Hi, Estelle. Sorry you’re experiencing this.

Since I wasn’t able to recreate this issue on my testing site and I haven’t seen others reporting this, I’d suggest following these recommended troubleshooting steps for your own site:

I see you have many plugins active. Please follow our Testing for Conflicts Guide (basically switch to Twenty Sixteen theme and deactivate all plugins and custom code other than Modern Tribe plugins) and see if that helps narrow down the cause of this.

If it doesn’t, please enable WP_DEBUG and WP_DEBUG_LOG and share any debug messages you see while changing tickets quantity, navigating your site’s home page, events page, single-event pages, and any other of your site’s pages relevant to this ticket.

Then, please share your System Information (while in Testing for Conflicts Mode). That will give me a lot of extra information to help diagnose the problem.

You might also see if you can spot any console errors at your site. (If needed, you may reference our KB article Using Google Chrome Developer Tools.)

Let us know what you find out.

    Thanks.

Thanks for your interest. I still haven’t figured out the problem but have learnt a few things.

I use the same theme and Calendar Pro (all same versions) on another of our websites and I have no problems so I’m guessing it’s not a theme conflict. I can’t really change to Twenty16 because we don’t have a development site, just a live one.

I have not had problems navigating the front end of the site, just the fatal error when I go to edit a page.

Today’s error message is slightly different from last week’s, but still a Tribe error: the-events-calendar/src/Tribe/Asset/Factory.php on line 3

Deactivating event calendar pro resolves the problem. But today I discovered that de-activating a DIFFERENT plugin (fyi: team booking) also resolves the problem! It’s an up-to-date plugin but not one I’m really using anymore so I’ve deactivated it and can now edit pages AND can use calendar pro.

Problem isn’t really solved/figured out but at least I’m able to now get done what I need to!

We’ve heard of others on PHP 7 reporting that same error (as early as a year ago), but we haven’t been able to reproduce it and I believe you’re the 3rd to have this issue in that time.

And with your findings about other plugins, I wonder if it’s a plugin or theme conflict.

Could you provide me a link to download that plugin so I can test with it on PHP 7?

Thank you for your efforts here.

Hey there! This thread has been pretty quiet for the last three weeks, so we’re going to go ahead and close it to avoid confusion with other topics. If you’re still looking for help with this, please do open a new thread, reference this one and we’d be more than happy to continue the conversation over there.

    Thanks so much!
    The Events Calendar Support Team
