The Event Calendar PRO Multilingual (WPML):

http://www.helencummins.com/events/April 13, 2012 at 4:53 pm #17887HenryMemberLots of TEC users have been asking about displaying all events on a Google map. I have been able to do this quite easily so thought i’d show my example:
April 23, 2012 at 5:47 pm #18215RobMemberMariana: the integration on your two sites is looking very slick. You’re one of the first who has showcased their work with WPML so hopefully this will give them some ideas.
Henry: that is awesome. As you mention tons of people have been asking about such a feature lately…this will show them all it can be done.
We’re building a nice Showcase page on the tri.be site, too, so we can highlight some of these sites in greater depth. We’re excited about where it’s headed and I’ll definitely post a link to the finished product whenever that’s done. It won’t be anytime this week or anything but (like so many other things) it’s on the radar!
April 26, 2012 at 10:24 pm #18354MichelleParticipantHi Christina,
I also like your calendar – specifically the category dropdown (Find an Event). I am trying to implement this on my calendar but am finding it quite tricky. I am not a PHP coder – but with instructions I am sure I can make it happen. Would you be able to tell me how you did the category dropdown? I really need detailed instructions (ie what code to put in and which file it should go into..) – so if you could tell me that would be really appreciated! My calendar in its current form is online at http://calendar.theglobalyogi.com/events/
I’m also trying to get the results for just one category to show up on the gridview but don’t know how to do that either (http://calendar.theglobalyogi.com/events/category/europe/)
Thanks,
MichelleMay 7, 2012 at 10:56 am #18766mobloggyParticipantThanks for the examples. How about a post on how this was created to highlight upcoming/featured events?!
http://ncmusicfactory.com/events/
Or is there is an existing post on how to set up displaying featured events w/ photos on the homepage?
THANKS!May 15, 2012 at 3:43 pm #19236RobMemberMichelle: did you ever get any assistance on this? Just wanted to check.
Shannon: isn’t that site awesome? That was a heavy customization job I’m sure. The closest thing we’ve put together along those lines so far is this tut on how to show featured thumbnails in the next event widget: https://theeventscalendar.com/how-to-show-featured-thumbnails-in-the-next-events-widget/.
May 16, 2012 at 2:12 am #19252MichelleParticipantRob – thanks for checking. Christina has been very helpful and I am now well on the way to getting my calendar operational. This is a work in progress (& content not real) but thought to post it anyway. http://calendar.theglobalyogi.com/events/
May 16, 2012 at 5:50 pm #19284RobMemberLooks awesome, Michelle! Thanks for sharing, and for confirming your status. You’ve got a very calming color palette there that goes nicely with the sites subject. Great work (and let us know when it’s “complete” in your eyes).
June 7, 2012 at 1:00 pm #20334Mary Kaitlyn BernardParticipantRob/Henry-I am one of those looking for an integrated way to show events on a map. Your link/page shows that it can be done, but are you willing to share the “how”? Happy to move this over to a different thread if more appropriate.
Thanks guys!June 11, 2012 at 2:50 pm #20493DanParticipantWe just soft-launched ours over the weekend, but I think it’s now ready for primetime.
http://www.fourcornersevents.info/June 22, 2012 at 11:53 am #21060PeterParticipantTook a while, but it’s finished. Check out the widget on the homepage http://www.pigsfeetunder.com. I still need to stylize the calendar though.
June 22, 2012 at 11:54 am #21061PeterParticipantMade it responsive too 🙂

or do I have to be a genius?July 9, 2012 at 4:35 pm #21837Mary Kaitlyn BernardParticipantStill doing a little fine tuning, but here’s one we just set up using Pro, Community Events, and some color coding to help find event types: http://greatmaineoutdoorweekend.org/
