Hello,
On the indivdual event pages which have recurring events, instead of having “(see all)” is it possible to have all of the dates listed?
Example: https://insightshopva.com/event/restart/2017-07-05/ (see image).
Thanks in advance,
CasperJune 26, 2017 at 3:33 pm #1307686Casper BlackwellParticipantHowdy,
In talking with my client since I posted the above, she would like the first and last dates shown instead of the default “see all” text on the individual view for recurring events, if that is possible. “July 5 – August 2nd.” for example on this event: https://insightshopva.com/event/restart/2017-07-05/
If that’s not possible, list all the dates in the series as per above.
Please advise.
Thanks in advance,

Thanks for contacting us! To display the recurring events list in a single event page, you can use the code mentioned in this thread:
I’ve also tested from my end and it’s working properly. You can use this code as a start point to customize your single event page!
Let me know if you need anything else and I’ll be happy to assist!

Patricia
June 27, 2017 at 12:28 pm #1309499Casper BlackwellParticipantHi Patricia,
I think I’m missing something.
I was following this: https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/themers-guide/
– In the child theme I’ve made a folder “tribe-events”
– Inside of that folder I’ve made a folder “pro”
– I’ve placed a copy of the single-event.php (from the-events-calendar > src > views) in to the “pro” folder inside the child theme.
– I added the php code from here (https://gist.github.com/anonymous/0f5c54d6b3483b6a9bad46e80bc5783b) into the bottom of the file
I don’t see any changes.
Please advise.

June 28, 2017 at 6:03 pm #1310877PatriciaMemberHi Casper,
Please accept our sincere apologies for the delayed response!
Please move your single-event.php file from:
/wp-content/themes/[your theme]/tribe-events/pro/single-event.php
to:
/wp-content/themes/[your theme]/tribe-events/single-event.php
After this change you will be able to see a list with the recurring dates in the end of each individual event.
I hope this helps! Let me know if you have any other questions and I’ll be happy to assist! 🙂
Regards,
Patricia

I’ve moved the file to /wp-content/themes/jupiter-child/tribe-events/single-event.php
I’m still not seeing any changes.
I’ve put a copy of the modified single-event.php file in dropbox. Could you have a quick look to ensure it’s correct, or I can grant FTP access.

Please advise.
Thanks in advance,
CasperJune 29, 2017 at 12:16 pm #1312434Casper BlackwellParticipantHi Patrica,
Seems it was working once I moved the file to the right folder.
I didn’t notice the change until now, as it was at the very bottom of the page.
Good to close.
Thanks for your help 🙂
Cheers,

I have an issue with a handful of recurring events, not sure what the issue is.The current date and time is being displayed for some reason:

CasperJune 29, 2017 at 2:42 pm #1312777PatriciaMemberHey Casper,
Good to know that the script is now working for you! Can you please specify the issue you are experiencing? What I see in the screenshots you attached is the list of your recurring events (with their respective dates and times), in a single event: this was included by the custom code on /wp-content/themes/jupiter-child/tribe-events/single-event.php
Please send us further information about this new issue and we will be happy to assist!

Patricia
June 29, 2017 at 3:02 pm #1312821Casper BlackwellParticipantHi Patricia,
If you look at these events you’ll see that the current date and time is being show for some reason in addition the events dates:
https://insightshopva.com/class/restart/2017-07-05/
https://insightshopva.com/class/the-daring-way-workshop/2017-09-11/
https://insightshopva.com/class/your-brain-on-ink/2017-09-12/
https://insightshopva.com/class/mindfulness-based-stress-reduction/2017-09-18/Other events are displaying fine though (no current date and time showing):
https://insightshopva.com/class/learn-to-knit/2017-07-11/
https://insightshopva.com/class/knitting-for-the-advanced-beginner/2017-08-15/I’m not sure what is causing this issue.
Please advise.

June 30, 2017 at 8:03 pm #1314838PatriciaMemberHi Casper!
Can you please replace your single-event.php file (on /wp-content/themes/[your_theme]/tribe-events/) with this one and let me know if everything works properly after that?

July 1, 2017 at 10:18 am #1315036Casper BlackwellParticipantHi Patricia,
New single-event.php uploaded and I’m still getting today’s date listed on most recurring events, see screen capture attached.
Please advise.
Thanks in advance,
CasperJuly 2, 2017 at 5:51 pm #1315390PatriciaMemberHi Casper,
I’m very sorry about this issue you are still experiencing. I’ve imported some of your events to my own WordPress install, but I couldn’t replicate the issue from here. Since the problem happens only with specific recurring events and not with all of them, I suggest you to compare both Events setup and look for differences.
This custom code builds the recurring events list based on Post IDs and their permalinks, so there’s probably an extra/specific event causing the issue here. Unfortunately I won’t be able to help you to customize this code any further as it is out of the scope of our support.
We do have a list of recommended developers who could help you out with the code if you need it:
https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/find-a-customizer/
Let us know if you need anything else!
Regards,
Patricia.
July 2, 2017 at 8:53 pm #1315407Casper BlackwellParticipantThanks for looking into this Patricia.
It seems if I re-add the events, the new classes display correctly; no oddities in the recurring listings.
Is it safe to delete an event that has tickets sold for it and re-add the event without effecting the current sales?
Cheers,
