MemberHi Ville!
Thanks for reaching out to us! Let me help you with this issue.
This seems like a conflict with the Essential Grid plugin. Just to confirm, could you please try using the shortcodes in a new page without using the Essential Grid plugin and see if you have the same issue?
If you do, please send us a copy of the Essential Grid plugin in a private reply so we can run some tests and see if we can spot the problem.
Thanks,

ParticipantI used the same shortcodes on month view with same results as with Essential grid.
I also used the shortcodes on single event page. Both shortcodes got displayed as they were written.
In both cases Essential grid plugin was disabled. On behalf of Ville,

MemberHi Kari,
Thanks for trying that out and letting us know.
If the Essential grid was disabled and the shortcodes are still not working, then this could be a conflict with other plugins or theme. So, to narrow the problem down please go through the steps provided in the testing for conflicts guide > https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/testing-for-conflicts/
Let us know if you find a conflicting theme/plugin so we can run some tests to find the source of the problem.
We suggest you setup a dev/staging site so you can make all these tests without disrupting the live site. We also encourage to make a full backup of your site, both database and files so in case something goes wrong you can always restore your site.
Also, could you please share a link to the page where you are seeing the shortcodes not working? We’ll have a closer inspection to see if we can spot anything.
Let us know how it goes.
Thanks,

MemberHi Kari,
Thanks for making all those tests and coming back with the info.
You can always download the latest versions of our plugins by going to your downloads page > https://theeventscalendar.com/my-account/downloads/ and performing a manual update > https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/manual-updates/ in your staging site.
We are dealing with two different shortcodes here, so let me clear things out just to avoid confusion:
To make use of the [tribe_event_inline] shortcode you will need both The Events Calendar and Events Calendar PRO plugins installed and activated as it states here > https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/embedding-single-events-tribe_event_inline-shortcode/
On the other side, the [tribe_formatted_event_date] shortcode will only work if you install and activate the following extension > https://theeventscalendar.com/extensions/formatted-event-date-shortcode/
I understand the [tribe_event_inline] shortcode is not working for you. Can you please try using the following shortcode?
[tribe_event_inline id=8]
Time: {start_date} @ {start_time} – {end_date} @ {end_time}
[/tribe_event_inline]Please make sure to change the ID 8 for a valid event ID for your site and also without using the curly brackets. Does it work for you? Let me know about it.
Thanks,

MemberHi Kari!
Glad to know it’s now working for you. Thanks for following up to let us know.
I’m not really sure what you mean by this “post_id have been working all the time displaying the correct id.”
Are you by any chance using this %post_id% to make reference to the event id? If so, this might be a functionality that you get from another plugin (perhaps Essential grid).
Is there anything else I can help you with? Let me know

KeymasterHey there! This thread has been pretty quiet for the last three weeks, so we’re going to go ahead and close it to avoid confusion with other topics. If you’re still looking for help with this, please do open a new thread, reference this one and we’d be more than happy to continue the conversation over there.
Thanks so much!
