Separation of Event and Blog Tags

Hi Support Team,

this question has been raised before, but I couldn’t find a solution. Is there a way to strictly separate Blog and Event Tags or will this feature be implemented in the future? We have literally hundreds of Blog Tags, but require a way to use tags within the event filter bar to drill down certain tagged events. At the moment the filter bar will display all tags in the system (including of course all the blog tags), which makes this feature in the calendar virtually un-usable.

If you think sorting blog vs event post tags is something you would like as a feature I encourage you to visit our User Voice Page and either upvote an existing request or make a new request there. I’m not sure that it’s technically possible as events are custom post types, and therefore share some features of posts.

Hi Courtney,
thank you very much for getting back. It did require some searching, but I finally found an alternative calendar plugin where this can be done. I do like The Events Calendar and will re-consider using it in the future, when a projects comes up where specififications are met.
