GuestI am putting together a new website for a bike racing organization, and the most important part of the site will be the calendar. Our racers like to be able to see the year’s calendar and also be able to download it. This post (https://theeventscalendar.com/support/forums/topic/sync-with-google-calendar-2/) answered some of my questions already. Our site will have 4 disciplines (Road, Cyclocross, Track, Mountain Bike) so here are my questions:
– Can I set it up to search by a discipline/category & give an exportable year view
– Can I set it up to search by multiple disciplines (all one search) & give an exportable year view
– RE: Linked support post (above): Is there code for a Jan-Dec view of the coming year (since race calendar comes out in Nov.)Right now, The Events Calendar looks like the clear favorite, but the ability to search by something like Road + Track and get one unified year list would be the clincher. Thanks.

MemberHey Alec,
Thanks for contacting us!
At this moment we don’t have a built in option to display the year’s calendar, although it is possible with some customization. As an alternative, some of our customers include shortcode widgets in one page to display their events for the year.
We do plan to implement this feature in Events Calendar Pro soon, but as mentioned here, this is a project on hold at this moment.
Regarding your second question, it is possible to search and filter your events by multiple categories using Filter Bar.
Let us know if you need anything else and have a great day! 🙂
Regards,
Patricia

GuestThanks. So am I correct in assuming that after filterng the events by multiple categories, you would then have the option to export those results? That’s my only remaining question.

GuestAnd to be clear, if I did a search and I wanted it to lost any events which were either Road or Track (as an example), would I need Filter Bar for that or would the standard Events Calendar be able to handle that?

MemberHi Alec,
Answering your first question, you are correct! If you filter your calendar to show only two categories and you click on “Export Events” link in the bottom-right corner, only the filtered events will be exported. If you want to know more about how The Events Calendar works, you can access our demo site !
Regarding your second question, as already mentioned in this thread, if you navigate to each Event Category view, such as http://wpshindig.com/events/category/learning/list/ from our demo site, you can export the events for that specific category.
This functionality is available in the free/core The Events Calendar. The Filter Bar add-on is not required for it, but it can help people navigate to each Event Category.
I hope this helps! Let me know if you have any other questions and I’ll be happy to assist! 🙂
Regards,
Patricia
