ParticipantHi there,
I’m using Event Aggregator to import events from facebook and the problem is that scheduled imports are not running.
I’ve been working on this for days, reading the forum and trying to find a solution but without success.Manual imports usually work fine but sometimes I get the message ‘Import Succesfully queued’ while it is actually pending for too a long time and it seems that the import is never going to start.
I installed the WP-crontrol plugin to check for a WP-cron event by Tribe Events Aggregator and there is none.
The only WP-cron events I see by TribeEvents are:
– tribe_events_pro_process_recurring_events
– tribe-recurrence-cron
– tribe_common_log_cleanupAutomatic importing is a key feature for the website I am developing…
Hope to hear from you soon,
EmanueleAugust 14, 2017 at 6:53 am #1334931Emanuele Guidotti

MemberHello Emanuele
I’m very sorry this is happening. I have flagged this ticket to notify you as soon as a solution is available. Unfortunately, I do not have an exact estimate for the update.
Thanks

MemberHi there,
Just wanted to share with you that a new maintenance release is out containing various improvements for Events Aggregator. Here’s a breakdown of what’s been released:
- Fix – Avoid Event Aggregator previews or scheduled imports being marked as failures.
- Fix – Fixed an issue that would sometimes render Event Aggregator options invalid even with a valid license.
- Fix – Fixed an issues where Event Aggregator scheduled imports could not run other than manually.
- Tweak – Improve Event Aggregator message regarding Facebook token expiration.
- Tweak – Support importing from URLs (Event Aggregator) where the protocol hasn’t been specified by defaulting to HTTP.
- Tweak – Added filter: tribe_aggregator_meta_source to filter the Event Aggregator import source.
- Tweak – Added filter: tribe_events_linked_post_meta_values_{$current_linked_post_meta_key} for filtering the array of values retrieved for a specific linked post meta field.
Find out more about this release → https://theeventscalendar.com/maintenance-release-week-21-august-2017/
Please update The Events Calendar to the latest version, give it a few hours and let us know how things go. If you are still having troubles be sure to report back to us including system information, a detailed description of the issue (if it has changed in anyway since the original report) and steps to reproduce if possible. We are aware some setups might still need adjustments!
Thanks for the patience while we worked on these issues,
Best,

ParticipantHi,
unfortunately the new release did not fix the problem. When I save a scheduled import I see the correct message:
‘…next import scheduled for …date…’
but then it does not run.I have been trying scheduling some imports with daily and 30mins frequency.
I tried to remove and insert again the license. I deleted all the scheduled imports and created new imports.
Unfortunately no scheduled import has run.My system information should be automatically shared from my website.
Please help,

MemberHi Emanuele,
I’m sorry you are still experiencing issues with your imports.
If you go to your Imports History by going to Events > Import > History tab, do you see the failed import records with a red exclamation mark? Please hover over them and let us know which error messages you are getting for each specific failed import.
Also, could you please send us a screenshot of the Event Aggregator System Status by going to Events > Help ?
Thanks,

ParticipantWhen I write “scheduled imports do not run”, I mean “scheduled imports do not run”.
Events > Import > History tab shows no iports at all. They have never run. When I manually run a scheduled import i get the message “succesfully queued 1 import” but then Events > Import > History tab shows the error message “the import being fetched is not queued up for importing”.
Single-imports seem to work fine.

ParticipantUPDATE: single-imports are not working either
I am trying to import events (single-import) from https://www.facebook.com/alcatrazmilano/
It has 27 upcoming events but only 5 events are imported and then History tab shows a pending import that is never going to complete. If the page has less than 5 events, it works.
Hope you will be able to find a solution soon… I bought the licence 2 months ago and I cannot rely on event aggregator yet… it has never worked properly

MemberHi Emanuele
Did you happen to get the latest update? https://theeventscalendar.com/the-events-calendar-4-5-12-2/. This might resolve the issue.
Thanks
Courtney 🙂September 11, 2017 at 1:35 pm #1347711Emanuele Guidotti
ParticipantHi Courtney,
I tried the latest update but it did not resolve the issue. Now manually running scheduled imports works, but scheduled imports never run automatically.
Moreover, if I try to import more than 5 events from a single facebook page the Aggregator imports only five events and shows a pending import. This happens both with single-import and manually running a scheduled import.Emanuele

MemberHi Emanuele
Goodness I hope we get this fixed asap! To help us troubleshoot, can you provide us with a database dump? https://codex.wordpress.org/Backing_Up_Your_Database. Please upload your file to Google Drive or something similar and send us a private reply with a link to download it.
I can then escalate your information on to our developers for more testing on this bug report.
Thanks
