    If you switch to the Twenty Sixteen theme, is that still the case?

    Mathew, thanks for the additional information.

    Mathew and/or Mount Madonna School, if you could send me the database information for your “posts” and “postmeta” tables before and after an event, I’d appreciate this extra information to see if we can replicate the issue.

    Mathew, if you do share that information, please add it to your own, separate topic that you started.

    Switched to 2016 theme, venue still doesn’t save to old events.

    Do you know how to access your database, such as via PHPMyAdmin?

    Do you have access to a  developer or your web host support to help here? You could also reference our list of known customizers.

    You could also try using a database dump plugin, like https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-db-backup/ (instructions provided at https://codex.wordpress.org/Backing_Up_Your_Database#Using_WordPress_Database_Backup_Plugin)

    (third-party, not guaranteed or supported by us)

    And, again, try dumping before editing an event you think will experience this issue, then dump again if it does happen as you expect (to give me a before and after).
