I have created a series of events, list here. Since the update, I have had three new issues.

When looking at the list view (using widget) the last instance of the series shows up (for this example, it’s the July 13-14 date rather than the May 18-19 date). Before the update, the first event showed up in the series, and that is what I would like to happen (I would like the May 18-19 date listed).

On the single event page, the Recurring Event (See All) link does not work. Additionally, the hover box listing the dates is obscured on the page.

When hovering over Recurring Event (See All), the first event is not listed in the series (the May 18-19 event). See attached image.

    Hello!

First off, thank you for your purchase and welcome to our premium plugin support forums! I see your company is based in Oregon. I recently moved from Portland and miss it every day! Now down to business 🙂

Before I’m permitted to test the issues myself, I’ll need you to review the Testing for conflicts guide and note what you find. I’d also like to point out that we are limited when it comes to theme conflicts and customizations, so any issues I’m unable to reproduce will need to be addressed by you. For what is covered in the forums, please review our What support is provided for license holders? Knowledgebase article.

Thanks again and I look forward to your response. Cheers!

Hi Hunter! Since this is a live site, I was wondering if checking plugin/theme compatibility behind a maintenance plugin would be sufficient, or do I need to set up a separate staging environment?

    Thanks for any advice.

    Hello,

The only issue I see with that is you’ll need to deactivate all plugins other than ours, so it might be best you set up a test site where you can fully troubleshoot the issue. Check out our Using One License for Live and Dev Sites and Moving Your License Keys tutorials for more information.

Let me know the results and have a pleasant rest of your day 🙂

It took me a while to set up a staging site! Here’s what I have now after checking theme/plugin conflicts. Also, I have updated my plugins since posting this thread, so let me know if I need to send over the new system settings.

    > When looking at the list view (using widget) the last instance of the series shows up (for this example, it’s the July 13-14 date rather than the May 18-19 date). Before the update, the first event showed up in the series, and that is what I would like to happen (I would like the May 18-19 date listed). (Resolved with update)

    > On the single event page, the Recurring Event (See All) link does not work. (This seems to work on all of them, either it was resolved on update or I was clicking on the wrong spot…)

    > Additionally, the hover box listing the dates is obscured on the page. (This is a plugin/theme conflict). I know there isn’t support on that, but if you know how to make the box pop down instead of up, that would be helpful!**

    > When hovering over Recurring Event (See All), the first event is not listed in the series (the May 18-19 event). See attached image. (This is fine as long as the first event in the series is listed for the event list, which it now is).

    – New problem with update: the reoccurring event series dates listed in the hover box say “unspecified date” See attached image (this is not a plugin/theme conflict)**

Since there were a few things in this reply, I’ve listed the issues that need responses with **

    Thank you!

    Welcome back,

Thank you for taking the time to set up a testing site! It’s recommended you keep that around in the case you need to run through the Testing for conflicts guide again.

    > Additionally, the hover box listing the dates is obscured on the page. (This is a plugin/theme conflict). I know there isn’t support on that, but if you know how to make the box pop down instead of up, that would be helpful!**

I’m not entirely sure about this, but my go-to is this Customizing WordPress #2 – Using Chrome Developers Tools YouTube video. Our Using Chrome Developer Tools tutorial is also helpful.

Basically, use the ‘Inspect’ tool by right-clicking your mouse to identify the CSS class/ID and try whatever CSS you can think of/find from Googling to alter the hover so it looks good with your site design. I know this isn’t the ideal answer! I’d also contact the Avada team to see if they have any advice. They’ve always been super helpful any time I needed a little help.

<– New problem with update: the reoccurring event series dates listed in the hover box say “unspecified date” See attached image (this is not a plugin/theme conflict)*

I created a test recurring event, but I’m not seeing the “unspecified date” text in the hover window. Can you send over a screenshot of the ‘Time & Date’ section for an event reflecting this behavior and I’ll see if I can reproduce it? Thanks and please keep me updated 🙂

Thanks! I love chrome developer – I’ll have to play around when I get time…

Here are two screenshots. One is of an event posted prior to the update (you’ll notice the dates don’t appear “normally” in the backend). I have also uploaded an example of a recently posted event that shows the undefined date on hover.

I should say that I have updated all the EC family plugins since originally posted this topic and this wasn’t happening then. Let me know if you need update version numbers.

Please go ahead and send over your System Information as a private reply so I can make sure we’re on the same page prior to testing.

If you have the time, is there any way you can downgrade to the version(s) just before the version you believe this particular issue appeared in? Let me know if that makes sense and if you are able to fulfill this request, let me know what you find.

    Thanks! Cheers 🙂

Hey there! This thread has been pretty quiet for the last three weeks, so we’re going to go ahead and close it to avoid confusion with other topics. If you’re still looking for help with this, please do open a new thread, reference this one and we’d be more than happy to continue the conversation over there.

    Thanks so much!
