ParticipantAs many have posted about this problem, it hasn’t been fully solved.
The problem is happening only for recurring events where each copy has a permalink of
http://domain.com/%tribe_events_slug%/event-name-2016-01-10/2016-01-10/
That’s an example of bad permalink being generated for each copy where the date is created for each date it repeats, and the %tribe_events_slug% is showing exactly that and I have no idea where that’s coming from.
The solution someone suggested was to edit each recurring event singlehandedly (which makes the event not part of the recurring /all group anymore) and the permalink becomes
http://domain.com/event/event-name-2016-07-24/
And that one shows the single event page as it should. The problem with that is we have to manually edit every recurring event to fix it. This defeats the purpose of creating a recurring event to begin with to simplify the process.
Also not sure why it would add /all to the recurring event?
http://domain.com/event/event-name-2016-01-10/all/ with the all sublink

Evelyn. Reason: Removing real site on page

MemberHowdy Evelyn,
Welcome to our support forums and thanks for reaching out to us. Sorry to hear about this issue, I’ll try to help you out getting this right!
First of all, Can you please link me to the thread where this has been reported? I see this is your first post, so maybe it was reported by someone else as you mention?
Also, I saw your comment on the impossibility of switching themes/plugins to troubleshoot this. Can you set a local (or online-staging) copy of the site to troubleshoot this issue? It will be difficult to help you without troubleshooting the issue to understand where it comes from. If you can set this up, Can you please follow the steps described in our Testing for conflicts guide? This way we can see if this is a problem in our plugin or a conflict with the theme or other installed plugins.
Please let me know about this,
Best,

ParticipantI installed a fresh WP installation on a local environment with applying plugins one by one. The cause of this permalink issue where it adds %tribe_events_slug% is coming from the plugin called https://wordpress.org/plugins/custom-post-type-permalinks/
For some reason, even if I disabled it for Events, it still keeps adding that
%tribe_events_slug%
in between. Is there a way to make this plugin work with events calendar because I need it for custom post types with taxonomy categories inside because so much contents on the site have duplicate titles that belong to different categories and this permalink plugin is a way to different each one without losing SEO points.

MemberHey there ‘Evelyn’s Dev’,
Thanks for following up on this! Unfortunately there’s not much I can do for this 🙁
Can you try posting to the plugin support forum https://wordpress.org/support/plugin/custom-post-type-permalinks ? Crafting a fix for this was explored and declined recently by one of our developers.
You can request this feature at The Events Calendar user voice page, that’s the place where we collect feedback from our useres regarding new features and such.
Sorry not to have a better answer for this,
Best,

MemberHi there RjM,
Thanks for reaching out and sorry to hear you are experiencing this issue as well. Can you please open up a new thread for this? If you are not running the permalink plugin, I would say you issue is most probably unrelated to what Evelyn reported. Also having just a user/issue per thread usually makes them move faster.
When creating the new thread please be sure to Test for conflicts and include your system information, that will surely help getting a better reply. You can also include a link back to this thread if you want.
Thanks,
