ParticipantHello,
I’ve just added Pro to a website I help admin on and we have many recurring events. However, we aren’t sure what we’ve done wrong because there are no options to set for it. I’ve attached screenshots to help illustrate our issue. The documentation image is the one from your site that discusses how to add a recurring event. On our site the option isn’t there and when we click rules it refreshes the page but nothing changes or lets us select anything. I’m sure we are overlooking something obvious, so any help would be appreciated. Thanks!June 29, 2016 at 9:23 am #1133479Cliff
MemberHello, Kelly.
Thanks for your detailed question and screenshots (they always help).
So you’re clicking “Add Another Rule” and your wp-admin page is reloading? If yes, that’s not right! 🙂
In that case, please check for console errors at your site. (If needed, you may reference our KB article Using Google Chrome Developer Tools.)
If you don’t discover any issues there, please follow our general troubleshooting steps:
There might be some new updates available. Could you please make sure all your Modern Tribe plugins (and WordPress core) are at their latest versions?
Once you verify you’re on the latest versions, please test to see if the issue is still happening for you.
If it is, please follow our Testing for Conflicts Guide and see if that helps narrow down the cause of this.
If it doesn’t, please share your System Information. That will give me a lot of extra information to help diagnose the problem.
Let us know what you find out.
Thanks.

ParticipantI decided to double check for plugin conflicts to make sure my fellow admin was correct. Turns out the conflict is between a plugin we paid for called Magic Members. It’s the only one that removes functionality from recurring events. I’m not certain where to go from here. Do I contact them? Are you able to help? Please advise when you can. Thanks!

MemberHi Kelly. Thanks for the extra effort; I’m glad you were able to figure that out.
Could you please provide me the latest .zip of that plugin/theme and I’ll see if I can recreate the problem on my local testing site? You can mark your reply as Private when you send me the download link. And don’t worry about getting in trouble. It’s perfectly fine to share it with me in this context. Thanks.

MemberThanks. Here’s my experience.
When I first installed Magic Members (never having installed it before), it threw an alert, “MagicMembers database upgrade required! …” so I ran that, but then the alert didn’t go away. So this feels like 1 or 2 bugs they should fix (but probably not relevant to your issue).
When I went to add a new Event, I didn’t have any problem clicking the Add Another Rule recurrence button:Â https://cl.ly/3B392D1z1Y3u
So possibly the conflict could possibly be between Magic Members and another plugin…
Did you check for any Console Errors when viewing your Event edit screen and clicking on the Add Another Rule recurrence button?
