I’m having an issue with recurring events not appearing in my event category archive pages.

The event in question is this one: https://cbisd.org/programs/beth-israel-book-club/2017-02-16/

That event is filed under the category “Adult Learners,” however when I view all events under that category, not all instances of this event appear. See https://cbisd.org/programs/category/adultlearners/

The additional instances of this event are also omitted from the event listing shortcodes we use. See https://cbisd.org/adults/adultlearners/. On this page I’m using the shortcode [tribe_events_list category=”adultlearners” limit=”20″], but as you can see only the February instance of the Book Club event is appearing.

What’s interesting is that the additional instances of this event DO appear when you browse our main event calendar at https://cbisd.org/programs/month/.

This may or may not be related to a similar bug I’m experiencing, which I just created a post for here: https://theeventscalendar.com/support/forums/topic/one-event-on-invalid-date-at-time-error-on-recurring-events/.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks!

    Hello again, Lesley 🙂

As requested in the other thread I’m assisting you on, please review our Testing for conflicts guide and let me know what you learn.

Before I start to overthink things, can you navigate to Events > Settings > General and check/uncheck the Recurring event instances option, then refresh your https://cbisd.org/programs/category/adultlearners/ page to see if has any effect? Make sure you do this while going over the Testing for conflicts guide so we can rule out the possibility of a theme and/or plugin conflict.

Keep me updated with your findings and take care!

    Thank you for the update.

I’m embarrassed to say it, but the issue was that I had the recurring event instances option checked instead of unchecked. That means that only the first instance of my recurring events would be displayed in list view – which was exactly what was happening for me.

I just didn’t realize the option existed.

Sorry, and thank you for your help.

    Please consider this issue resolved.

I’m happy I could help out! And don’t worry, I’m constantly forgetting then reminding myself about existing features, settings, etc. Thank you and have a great rest of your week. Cheers 🙂
