ParticipantI have been watching this for a while and am getting closer to nailing it down. In community Events when a subscriber places a recurring event, it is put into PENDING. That Pending queue shows however number of events say 20 .. start date and end date, the same. But recurring is checked.
Ok,
NEXT go to Edit ALL events. the URL ALL comes up.
Look at the recurrance ending date. it is the same date as the first one that you opened.
Try to SAVE the event and it asks you to choose an end date. (since I am editting ALL, I thought I had)
ok, RESET the end date and publish the event.
Now you have two sets of recurring events. I am not sure if one is still PENDING and the other LIVE but in any case it probably should not work this way.
When I get an opportunity I will try to reproduce this and document it more thoroughly.August 22, 2015 at 10:20 am #998186George
ParticipantHey Karen,
Thank you for the detailed report here! Recurring events work fine for me through community-submitted events so I’m curious if you can do two things here to further build out this bug report:
1. Can you share your system info here on this thread? Here’s an article showing how to, it’s super easy → https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/sharing-sys-info/
2. Can you run through all of the troubleshooting steps outlined here? → https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/testing-for-conflicts/ Then, once you’ve gone through all steps, take another look at this issue and try to submit new community recurring events to try to recreate the problem. Does everything behave exactly the same way?
Thank you!

ParticipantHi George,
I tried to recreate this scenerio and could not. The entry was made by an anonymous event poster. I will have to wait for it to happen again I suppose, take screenshots and see if I can replicate it. This has happened more than once but not all the time. Perhaps it is a particular sequence. I can hardly disable all the plugins on my live site, but I can try to reproduce it on the test site.
thanks for your helpAugust 24, 2015 at 6:04 pm #998642George
ParticipantOkay, I’m sorry to hear that Karen but I appreciate your update and that you tried to recreate it at all. This thread will likely be auto-closed by the SupportDroid before you get another post to replicate this – if that happens, you can just open up a new thread any time and link back to this thread for reference, we’ll pick up right where we left off 🙂
Cheers,
