One all recurring events, any events past the date of the initial event show a message ‘This event has passed.’ this is causing a lot of confusion as technically only the first event in this series has passed. Also it shows only the date of the first event in the series, seems like it should note the date selected on from the calendar page.

What is the fix to make recurring events date on the event page more accurate?

    Hey Michael,

Thanks for reaching out to us!

Can you link me to a recurring event where you’re experiencing this issue?

The way it should work, if you click on a single instance of a recurring event within your calendar it will take you to the single instance for that event. If that date for that instance of the recurrence has passed then you’ll see that message. However, if the date hasn’t then it will not have that notice. Then, when clicking the “see all” for that recurrence, it should take you to a list view that starts with the next upcoming instance of the event.

    Thanks!

    Hello,

Here is a link to the events calendar page: http://gildasclubdesertcities.org/events/ and also a recurring event that I selected from the previous link for 6/30: http://gildasclubdesertcities.org/event/restorative-yoga/2016-02-11/ .

If I click on an event for 6/30, it should take me to that event instance for 6/30, however it takes me to the original event date. Is this not the case?

    Hey Michael,

    Thanks for following up here.

I took a look at your site and it does appear to be behaving differently that intended. A couple of steps to take here:

    1. Ensure that all your Events Calendar plugins are updated to the latest version
    2. Try following our Testing for Conflicts procedures and ensure that there aren’t any conflicts (or additional filters on content or template overrides) with other plugins or your existing theme.

Let me know if either of these allow the sites to work with the intended behavior. We can then work from there.

    Thanks!

    Hey Josh,
We tested for conflicts and it seems to be the WPML Multilingual CMS plugin causing the malfunction. Have you heard of this occurring with other customers?

Note: We also also have installed:
    WPML Sticky Links
    WPML String Translation
    WPML Translation Management

    Hey Michael,

Thanks for testing those and following up here.

We do support WPML compatibility with Events Calendar and Events Calendar Pro so any issues here would be things we would work to get worked out. As a help here, would you mind sharing your System Information in a private reply here?

    Thanks!
