Can’t contact them buy email for support but they are happy to sell my a script?

90% of the money they spent is in making the website look good and think you’ll get everything you need. 10% went into actually making the code.

I was a little unsure about buying at first because so many people were asking for support in the forums but it had so many good reviews so i paid for it and the community plugin.

    Installed easy.

    Then the problems start.

This product is not ready to be used out of the box. If you want that buy something else. You will have to pay a developer to fix things and tweak it to make it work the way you want.

The next problem is load your events up with actual real data more than the very limited demo then you start to see LOT’s of UX problems. VERY VERY poor.

I’m paying a developer $35 an hour to tweak it because the admin panel is missing 99% of the things people need.

Why on https://wpshindig.com/event/womens-javascript-study-group/2017-12-06/ does it have an all events link to go back? but in the actual installed version it displays the next game which is totally confusing to users. No way in admin to change it.

Please help me on this problem?

    Hey there Andy

Can you provide me a link to your site? I’d like to specifically see an instance of one of your recurring events, similar to the Javascript group link you shared.

Also, can you send us your System Info? That can really help us troubleshoot what might be going on.

Can you go through our Testing for Conflicts Guide https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/testing-for-conflicts/?  I am wondering if you might have a plugin or theme conflict. We don’t get the UX problems often that you have mentioned. I’d really like to see what you are seeing, as the majority of our users see something much more similar to our demo site.

We recommend conducting these tests on a staging server (https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/creating-using-wordpress-staging-site/).

Begin by deactivating all other plugins, using a theme such as Twenty Seventeen https://wordpress.org/themes/twentyseventeen/, and see if the issue still persists.

Also, double check for any other updates available (Dashboard » Updates).

Please let me know if the issue still persists after these tests.

    Thanks
    Courtney 🙂

Hey there! This thread has been pretty quiet for the last three weeks, so we’re going to go ahead and close it to avoid confusion with other topics. If you’re still looking for help with this, please do open a new thread, reference this one and we’d be more than happy to continue the conversation over there.

    Thanks so much!
