Guesti’m using the free edition and updated to the new version and suddenly hundreds of future event posts appeared in the main blog feed
i had to change my settings to events ‘don’t appear’ in the main feed to avoid my site looking like a complete messbefore updating i read everything you posted about the update
i’ve searched through all the settings but can find no reason why all these future events suddenly appear
and it’s not easy way to phrase a question to search the resources. With so many fundamental changes with this update – perhaps you will allow free users to read the forums related to the update so we can find solutions to the problems this update brings

MemberHi,
Thanks for using the Events Calendar.
Here on the pre-sales forum, Iām afraid we do not provide technical support. I would ask that you take any technical support questions across to our wordpress.org forum ā our staff scan it periodically and other community members may also be able to help out.
Our forums are public and you can read almost every thread. If a reply is marked private only we and the person creating the reply can see it.
Here is the Pro Forum:
Also, it maybe a conflict causing this issue so before posting in WordPress.org I would take a look at our testing for conflicts guide and see what you find out:
Thanks again!

GuestHi Brian
I now understand what the problem is….
Events are displaying in the main feed on the event date, not on the date added.
i think there was a tick box in settings – but it’s not there now.
The removal of this functionality doesn’t appear to be covered anywhere
So with the new update, how do i dispaly events in the main feed on the date entered instead of the event date?
thank you

GuestMy mistake it was a code snippet that allowed the events to be displayed by date published, but that snippet doesn’t work with our 3.10 release
thanks to your support staff the fix is to remove the old snippet from the functions.php file and use a new code snippet
this allows you to Order events in main blog loop by published date rather than event date
