    Hi,

    I’m planning to do something like this:- http://checkpointspot.asia/default.aspx

    I need the following functions:-
    a) User account – so when people bought the ticket, they can check it from here / download confirmation slip
    b) Sell ticket as well as manage them, just in case there are changes / request from buyers to change or amend
    c) list all the events / current / upcoming / past (closed)
    d) add additional event information fields – http://checkpointspot.asia/Event/EventInfo.aspx?EventCode=VLUnFq4Z5Kg%3d
    e) To close events / stop ticket purchase
    f) When a buyer has purchase the ticket online, need to send confirmation email
    g) Need to allow people to download files such as pdf

    Regards,
    Lucas

    Hi, Lucas. Thanks for your interest in our plugin suite.

    I’ll share some general information and then answer each of your questions at the end…

    Event Tickets Plus (ET+), our paid add-on plugin that upgrades the functionality of our free Event Tickets (ET) plugin.

    Event Tickets Plus enables you to sell tickets via one of our supported eCommerce platforms. The free plugin only enables free RSVP-type tickets.

    You can view our roundup/comparison of all the eCommerce plugins ET+ supports.

    Our plugin uses your eCommerce plugin of choice, but your eCommerce plugin isn’t displayed for shopping pages. Please reference our Making Tickets KB article (screenshots are from an install using WooCommerce) for an idea how to create tickets for an event.

    Site visitors would purchase tickets from each event’s single page/view (e.g. http://wpshindig.com/event/events-tickets-demo/) — if there is an RSVP to submit or ticket to purchase.

    The order confirmation email will include a QR code that can be scanned to “check in” someone at the door at the time of the event. You can read more at Tickets: Managing your orders and attendees.

    If your tickets will be free, you don’t need QR code check-in, and you don’t need to collect additional information other than name and email address, you likely could just use the free/core Event Tickets plugin.

    ===

    A) We do not have this functionality for attendees (i.e. people who bought a ticket). However, an attendee can see this information per event. For example: if an event is viewable at example-com/event/my-own-event/, attendees will see a link to example-com/event/my-own-event/tickets/ to see their tickets

    B) ET+ enables selling non-free tickets. Refunding tickets is possible.

    C) The Events Calendar is our calendar plugin (we just crossed over 5 million downloads!). It enables viewing Upcoming and Past events in a variety of ways. There’s also a PRO add-on that enhances its functionality significantly.

    D) Reference our PRO Additional Fields article.

    E) Every ticket you create has dates to make the tickets available during. If you leave these date restriction fields blank, the tickets will be available until the event ends, when the tickets will all of a sudden no longer be available, automatically.

    F) Attendees do get email confirmation.

    G) None of our plugins currently do anything with PDF.

    ===

    For anything lacking from your ideal setup, you could request each feature as a new feature (or maybe search to see if the idea was already posted by someone else) at our plugins’ UserVoice page.

    This allows others who are interested in that feature to easily voice their support. We frequently review suggestions there to find out which ones are popular, then we implement as many of them as we can.

    If you post it / find it, feel free to link to it from here in case anyone comes across this forum thread in the future.

    ===

    Last but not least, we have a pretty great Refund Policy so you can buy one or many of our add-ons and thoroughly test them.

    I hope this info helps. Please let me know if you have any follow-up questions.

    Hi,

    Can you please elaborate more on this:-
    A) We do not have this functionality for attendees (i.e. people who bought a ticket). However, an attendee can see this information per event. For example: if an event is viewable at example-com/event/my-own-event/, attendees will see a link to example-com/event/my-own-event/tickets/ to see their tickets

    I’m selling tickets 3 – 4 months before the actual day. In case, participants/buyers lost their confirmation email, how do we assist them…?

    I’ll be using WooCommerce for the ticket purchasing and will be ensuring them to sign up a account before purchasing. So they’ll have an account:-
    a) Does the ticket information visible in their account page…?
    b) When they have an account with us, does their information such as email add auto populated when they purchase the ticket…? We want to avoid participant entering the wrong email address? Or do you have any suggestions as to how we can avoid participants making the typo error…? maybe another pop-up showing the information they typed in before confirming the purchase…?

    I’ll be collecting T-Shirt size as well and it does happen, participants wants to change their t-shirt size. Can participant change on their own when they log in to their account OR admin have to manually change them…?

    Also, which wordpress theme you would propose that work well with both the PRO plugins + WooCommerce…?

    Regards,
    Adrian

    Lucas / Adrian,

    Here’s a video demonstrating what I was referring to: https://cl.ly/1L3p3O3e1W0m

    There is no “account page” that aggregates their tickets from all the events they’re attending. At this time, each user’s RSVP/tickets information is available at each event’s “tickets” URL, as I mentioned in my previous reply.

    For logged-in users, there’s a feature request for an extension that pre-fills the ticket information from their WordPress user account information, but this doesn’t exist at this time.

    In the video I shared above, the user can change their Attendee Information / additional details. You could have a drop-down field for t-shirt size.

    We don’t recommend any specific themes, but we say say that themes that follow WordPress best practices should work just fine.

    Let me know if you have any other questions. 🙂

    Hey there! This thread has been pretty quiet for the last three weeks, so we’re going to go ahead and close it to avoid confusion with other topics. If you’re still looking for help with this, please do open a new thread, reference this one and we’d be more than happy to continue the conversation over there.

    Thanks so much!
