ParticipantI just updated the plugins with today’s update and the events calendar pro and facebook events plugins were not activated once the update completed. Also the plugin directories are now named as follows:
theeventscalendar.compu_request_pluginevents-calendar-proversion4.1pu_get_download1pue_active_version4.0-VACzKq/
theeventscalendar.compu_request_pluginevents-facebook-importerversion4.1pu_get_download1pue_active_version4-NlPtNy/Is that expected? did something wrong happen?
Gilles
PS: One of my other plugins was being updated at the same time, and its update could not be completed. But one plugin update ought not to affect other plugin updates. The main events calendar plugin update went fine.

MemberHey Giles,
Thanks for reporting this. We are aware of these issues with the update to version 4.1 and we are really sorry for the hassle this might cause. We are actively working to solve these issues. I’ve linked this thread to the bug report in our backlog, so you’ll get notified here when we have some update or fix for this.
For now you can downgrade the plugins to version 4.0.7. You’ll find the past versions for our premium plugins in the download section of your account in this site (https://theeventscalendar.com/my-account/downloads/) and you’ll find the core plugin (The Events Calendar) past versions here: https://wordpress.org/plugins/the-events-calendar/developers/.
Thanks for the patience while we work on this,
Best,

ParticipantI hate to piggyback, but same problems here. As always, because of customization I’ve done, I need to check some files but with the bad filenames I’m having trouble finding them to compare. What a mess….

ParticipantI downgraded and all’s well for now. I’ll wait until the dust settles on this one before trying again!

MemberHi there,
Thanks everyone for the patience!
We have released version 4.1.0.1 to address the general update & German language issues. We have corrected the glitch with the premium plugin folder names as well, so you can go ahead and re-download and re-install the plugins. You’ll find The Events Calendar update here: https://wordpress.org/plugins/the-events-calendar/ and you can download the premium plugins from My Account > Downloads. Here you can find the details of manually updating the plugins.
One more thing, if you are seeing 404s on the calendar URL after the update please re-save permalinks (WP-Admin > Settings > Permalinks > Save Changes) and also re-save event general settings (WP-Admin > Events > Settings > General > Save Changes). That should solve the issues if any.
Please let me know if this fix works for you,
Best,
