Good evening Kenneth and welcome to the Events Calendar forum!

Thank you for your interest in our products.
We’ll be glad to answer your questions.

Based on what you are describing, you will need at least the following plugins:

    1. The Events Calendar (free): https://theeventscalendar.com/product/wordpress-events-calendar/
    2. Community Events (premium): https://theeventscalendar.com/product/wordpress-community-events/
    3. Event Tickets (free): https://theeventscalendar.com/product/wordpress-event-tickets/

    With this setup:

    • Users will be able to upload their event (and you will be able to approve them)
    • Users will not be able to add tickets to their events (only you will be able to)
    • All sales from tickets will be directed to your Paypal account (and you will need to do the accounting with your users)

If you want a more complete solution, you will need the following additional plugins (on top of the first list):

    1. Event Tickets Plus (premium): https://theeventscalendar.com/product/wordpress-event-tickets-plus/
    2. Community Tickets (premium): https://theeventscalendar.com/product/community-tickets/

This will allow the following additional features:

    • Let users add tickets to their submitted events along with their Paypal ID
    • The ability for you to charge a fee per ticket (different options)

We do have a bundle for this: https://theeventscalendar.com/bundles/bundle-community-manager/

Let me know if that helps.

    Have a great day!

    Good afternoon Kenneth,

    Thank you for writing back.

If i follow the suggestion you provide, can i know how many ticket i have sold for that particular event?

You can see how many tickets are sold by checking the attendees’ list for each event: https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/managing-your-orders-and-attendees/ AND https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/tracking-sales-getting-paid/

And what checkout system I’m using?

This will vary slightly depending on which of the two scenarios you choose.

The “simple” scenario only offers Paypal as an option.

The more complex scenario lets you integrate with the WordPress online store plugin of your choice ( WooCommerce being the most popular one). This opens the door to many potential payment gateways.

It will all depend on the type of arrangement you have with your users (if you are charging them, who takes the payments, who does the accounting).

A lot of our users really like the split-payment option of Community Tickets.
The only caveat is that you already need to be an existing Paypal adaptative payments customer for this to work (for now). That is because PayPal has sunsetted this option for new customers.

Beside that, can i know is that any plugin available for reward points system??

I am not exactly sure what you mean by that? Would you mind expanding a bit or giving me an example?

Let me know if that helps.

    Have a great day!

    Hi Geoff,
Thank for the explanation. The reward point something like example : the ticket selling at USD100 , once the people purchase, it will converted to points (depend on my setting) and it can be use to redeem other ticket when it meet the require points value.

    Thanks
    Kenneth

    Good evening Kenneth,

Thank you for expanding on your idea.

If you went with the more complete scenario (Community Tickets, Event Tickets Plus, etc..) AND WooCommerce, the answer is that you could install a third-party WooCommerce plugin for that.

You will need to research this a bit to find out the one you like best, but here are a few of them: https://www.frip.in/woocommerce-rewards-points-wordpress-plugin/

    Have a good weekend,

    Hi Geoff,
Thanks! This all can be integrate with event calendar?

By the way, if i use woocommerce check out, i can direct my user to any payment gateway that woocommerce provide right?

And do you heard about some plugin that offer ranking or achievement? It is something like, level 1,attend 10 class, get a ‘seed’ badge, level 2,attend 20class, and you will evolve to a ‘small plant’ badge, level 3,attend 50class,and you will evolve to a ‘tree’ badge. I did found one call WPAchievement, just wondering do you heard any better than this?

    Thanks
    Kenneth

    Good evening Kenneth,

    Thank you for writing back.

This all can be integrate with event calendar?

    Yes, absolutely.

To make a long story short, Event Tickets integrates perfectly with the Events Calendar. Event Tickets Plus extends Event Tickets AND brings WooCommerce into the mix.

Simply put, the whole transactional aspect of things is handed over to WooCommerce.

if i use woocommerce check out, i can direct my user to any payment gateway that woocommerce provide right?

    That is correct.

However, please note, that if you select any other payment system than Paypal, it means that you will collect all the money from customers.

You will then need to do the accounting (based on the reports) to pay your event organizers.

do you heard about some plugin that offer ranking or achievement?

Surprisingly, there are not a lot of WooCommerce gamification plugins out there (as far as I know). But here is what I know of:

    Have a great day!
