The calendar, in the widget area on the right, won’t go to the next month when you click on the >>. Also, you can no longer list recurring events! This is why she bought the pro version!

I’ve deleted and re-installed. I’ve shut down any plug in that wasn’t a part of the theme. And no, it’s not a theme issue. It was working just fine before the latest WP update, a couple of weeks ago. It looks like this plug-in isn’t up-to-date with the latest WP.

    Hi Kent,

Thanks for reaching out to us! I’m really sorry about the issue with the widget.

As a first step, please go through our conflict testing guide to make sure that it’s not one of the other plugins or the theme you are using is causing this behavior.

Could you share with me a URL where the issue can be seen?

    Thanks and cheers,
    Andras

I’ve installed a new theme and the problem still persists. There’s no way to enter recurring events. I was told that the previous theme had an outdated jquery file, and that was causing the problem. This theme is a brand new Avada theme.

OK. I’ve been much more than patient with this. My patience is done, as is my client. Tonight, I’ve redesigned the entire site, with a brand new theme and your Pro plugin still does not work. What you call support, is not what the world recognizes as support. I’m now using a different calendar plugin. I want a refund for the Pro.

    Hello Kent,

I’m really sorry to hear about your disappointment in our support. We do our best to provide a timely reply to every question that arrives to our help desk. According to our support policy we promise to answer within 24-48 hours during the working week, and we strive to keep that even below 24 hours, just like in your case.

I understand if that is not up to your expectations and if you would like to ask for a refund you can to that on our refunds page. If you are within the 30-day purchase period our colleague will process it for you.

If you are still willing to give us a chance to help you out with this I’d be more than happy to provide you with further assistance.

In this case, please note that though Avada does support The Events Calendar, it is best to test the calendar functionality with a default theme like twentysixteen or twentyseventeen. We test our releases with these, as we don’t always have access to other themes.

Beside the theme it is also crucial to deactivate all plugins except the calendar ones, to check if they work properly on their own. If they do work ‘alone’, but they don’t work when other plugins are active, that can be a sign of a plugin conflict. That gives us something to work with.

What we also recommend our users – just like many other plugin developers – is either to create a backup before running an update, or test the updates on a staging site first and if all works well, only then run the update on the live site.

Let me know how you would like to proceed. As said, I’m here to support you further if needed.

    Cheers,
    Andras

Just came to my mind, another option for a workaround would be to roll back a couple versions of the plugins until we hunt this bug down and fix it.

As usual, you’re not following what I’ve been saying, for more than
a month.  This plugin worked fine for several months.
Suddenly, about a month ago, it was no longer possible to create
recurring events.  It has nothing to do with the theme.
I’ve installed a new theme, and it doesn’t work with that one,
either.  As I’ve said, many times during this past month, I
deactivated all plugins and it still didn’t work.  I’m obviously
far past the 30 days from purchase.  I’ll be sure to leave an
appropriate review on the WP plugins page.

    Dear Kent,

I’m really sorry if there is a misunderstanding here and I can understand your frustration.

I’m not trying to push you to redo the conflict test another time, there would be no point in that.

    You said:

    I’ve installed a new theme …

From this it is not clear which theme you have installed and whether you have tested if the bug esists with a default theme like twentysixteen or twentyseventeen.

I also asked if you could share a url with me where the issue can be seen, so I can take a look and check what could be off. I would be happy to check it out.

This will help us get started on the investigation if this is really a bug or not.

You reported your issue about a week ago, on February 3rd. Since then we haven’t been able to determine whether this is a bug as we need more information for that. At this point only you can help us get that information.

Looking forward to take a look at the bug on your site and to hear about the results with twentyseventeen, so we can get your site back to working as it was before.

    Cheers,
    Andras

Hey there! This thread has been pretty quiet for the last three weeks, so we’re going to go ahead and close it to avoid confusion with other topics. If you’re still looking for help with this, please do open a new thread, reference this one and we’d be more than happy to continue the conversation over there.

    Thanks so much!
