ParticipantHi there
I thought it was a theme issue but I returned it to the default theme with all other plugins deactivated (apart from the Events Cal and Filter Bar)
What I would like to do is make 3 separate calendars using the shortcode to only display certain categories on a specific page. As far as the docs go – that appears to be possible with Pro. Is there a compatibility issue with the filter bar for this? (Please let me know if not)
However, the view is so broken regardless of which shortcode view I choose, I guess I am just asking how to make it look normal? The /events/ page looks fine and works properly.
Our site is under a maintenance plugin so you will need credentials to log in and view it. Please inform me of how to send these securely if they’re needed.
Thank you

ParticipantHello. 2/3rds of my plugins have already passed the time needed for a refund. As they appear normal on the events page I was unaware I’d need Pro and that there would a problem.
You don’t have a dedicated support ticketing system nor a method for trialing the plugins, and for such an expensive product I think that’s really poor service.
If this turns out to be unfixable or I don’t receive a reply on this forum soon, I’m not sure how I’ll feel. My colleagues have already filled in many events so there’s time wasted as well as money.
Please advise.

ModeratorHi and welcome 🙂
Sorry to see you’re experiencing issues. At this time, there are no known issues with the Filter Bar and the shortcodes. You can send over credentials in a private reply and I’d be happy to take a look. Please note we are unable to log into the backend of customer sites, so I won’t be able to do anything more than take a look at the front end.
I’ll link to any documentation in regards to shortcodes. Please review them and let me know if you still have any issues I’d be happy to help further investigate. You should be able to use the [tribe_events] shortcode to display 3 different calendars based on category.
I’m not able to reproduce the issues seen in the screenshots you shared with me, so I’d start by rechecking if any theme and/or plugin conflicts are a factor by reviewing our Testing for conflicts guide. Please make sure WP_DEBUG and WP_DEBUG_LOG are enabled on your site’s wp-config.php file. Any errors will display at the top of your page as you try to reproduce the conflict. Note what you find and please include it in your reply.
Thanks and have a wonderful weekend ahead. Cheers!

ModeratorHello,
Thank you for the response. Can you please send over a link to a page where it displays the issue so I can see if I notice anything that might be causing the issue? Thanks again and have a great Monday!

ModeratorWelcome back,
Thank you for the update. I took a quick peek but unfortunately was unable to come up with any reasoning behind the issue you’re experiencing. We are not permitted to root around in the backend of customer sites, so there is not much I can do in this situation.
Your best shot at this point would be to set up a test site using the default WordPress theme and only our plugins, then slowly introduce your theme and other plugins until you can narrow down the exact source of conflict.
I understand this is not an ideal situation, but it’s best practice to have a test site where you can fully troubleshoot any issues you have. If it gets beyond your level of expertise, I recommend reviewing our list of customizers for further assistance.
Sorry again I can’t do more and best of luck resolving the conflict. For more information on what is covered on the support forums, please review our What support is provided for license holders? Knowledgebase article. Cheers!

ParticipantI am following the testing protocols you mentioned
However, in order to test the plugin on a fresh wordpress install I had to disconnect it from the original site and use the license on others with different setups. It is saying now that “You have entered a license key for The Events Calendar PRO but the key is out of installs. Visit the Events Calendar website to to manage your installs, upgrade your license, or purchase a new one.”
I’m trying to remain calm but I have to say this is past the point of ridiculous. Is there anything you can do to reset my installs? I can’t even troubleshoot something I paid $270 for, after having to do it myself in the first place…

ModeratorHello,
Worry not! You do not need to purchase a new license. We have a Knowledgebase article written for this exact circumstance.
Thanks for hanging tough with us and please let me know how things work out for you. Cheers!
