ParticipantHi,
Is there a way to have more than one shared capacity in the event? Currently I have 2 kinds of tickets for the event. Ticket 1 has 4 variations that shared the same inventory. Ticket 2 has 2 variations but I can’t have a specific shared inventory for this one because the amount is global. It should be nice to be able to add another global ticket section to the event so we can set a different amount for the shared capacity.
Thanks!

KeymasterHi Martin,
Thanks for reaching out!
Events can currently only have 1 shared (global) capacity. Can you please clarify what you mean by Ticket 1 having 4 variations that share the same inventory? I’m not quite sure what you are referring to here…you can add custom fields to tickets, but these do not affect the inventory.
I would also recommend taking a look at the following articles, which provide a good overview of how the ticket settings work and what options are available:

Thanks,
Jennifer

ParticipantIt’s a Golf Tournament. In the events, I have tickets for the players and tickets for dinner only. So the players tickets has 4 variations in pricing (members, non-members, foursomes members and foursomes non-members) for dinner only, I can sell more tickets so I need a pool of 144 tickets for the players tickets and I can sell 50 more tickets for dinner only (pooled between members and non members)

KeymasterHi Martin,
Thanks for clarifying!
So you have created a total of 6 tickets on the event, and you want the first 4 to have one capacity and the other 2 to have another capacity? Unfortunately this is not currently possible. However, you might try using some third-party WooCommerce extensions to accomplish this – I did a quick search and found the following:
If you created 2 tickets, one for players and one for dinner only, then you could set the global capacity to 144 and the “Sell up to” limit to 94 for the player ticket type. But, you would need to test this out to make sure that you could get it working the way you need to.
If multiple capacity pools is a feature you would like to see added in the future, we’d love it if you could post the idea in our Feature Ideas Forum! We use it to gauge user interest in new features and help plan future development.
I’m sorry that I don’t have a more straight-forward solution for you here, but please let me know if you have any questions!
Thanks,
Jennifer
