Hi,
I just purchased the Events Calendar PRO plugin with the hopes of using the shortcode for a custom events page.
When using the shortcode and defaulting to the month view, the calendar becomes very stretched out vertically to the point of it not being usable:
https://hopehumanesociety.com/get-involved/events/
However, the default calendar page displays fine:
https://hopehumanesociety.com/events-monthly/
Please help.
Thanks,
Storm Nolan

I am unable to reproduce this issue myself but am seeing it happening on your site.
Can you start by going through our Testing for Conflicts Guide https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/testing-for-conflicts/?ย I am wondering if you might have a plugin or theme conflict.ย
We recommend conducting these tests on a staging server (https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/creating-using-wordpress-staging-site/).
Begin by deactivating all other plugins, using a theme such as Twenty Seventeen https://wordpress.org/themes/twentyseventeen/, and see if the issue still persists.
Also, double check for any other updates available (Dashboard ยป Updates).ย
Please let me know if the issue still persists after these tests.
Thanks

What should we do to get this corrected?
December 21, 2017 at 5:21 pm #1411371CourtneyMemberHi Storm
The best route to resolve this is to reach out to the theme developer. We do check our plugin against the default WordPress themes and keep it in check with some of the most common themes as well. We aren’t seeing a widespread issue like you are experiencing. I hope your theme developers are able to help get this resolved.
Ultimately, I think this may have to do with if your site is configured to be mobile responsive. Our plugin will collapse the view from the shortcode better on mobile than what you are experiencing.
Thanks

Thanks for your response.
The only reason we purchased Events Calendar PRO was for the shortcode functionality.
Given that the month view calendar looks fine on this page:
https://hopehumanesociety.com/events-monthly/
But not this page:
https://hopehumanesociety.com/get-involved/events/
would seem to indicate that the issue is with your plugin and not the theme.
Kindly work on a fix for us.
December 26, 2017 at 10:26 am #1412944CourtneyMemberHi Storm
What were your results when you tested with a default WordPress theme such as Twenty Seventeen https://wordpress.org/themes/twentyseventeen/? Please share a screenshot of that with us.
We have tested this locally and have no other reports from clients with a similar issue at this time. This is what leads me to believe the issue is isolated to your website’s configuration, as you also indicated that it seems to be a conflict with your theme. If your theme does not adhere to responsive resolution guidelines, there is little we can do to resolve this.
Thanks

We havenโt heard back from you about fixing the calendar formatting here:
https://hopehumanesociety.com/get-involved/events/
The above is the short-code version.
The below is the native version:
https://hopehumanesociety.com/events-monthly/
Please issue a fix for us or issue a refund, please.
January 16, 2018 at 12:45 pm #1427959CourtneyMemberHi Storm
Your theme is setting a padding there in the .hentry class. Modifying this would negatively impact other things on your site while resolving the issue inside the calendar.
You could try to add the following code to your child theme, or in Appearance ยป Customize ยป Additional CSS
table .type-tribe_events { padding: 6px !important; }
Let me know if this works for you.
Thanks
Courtney ๐January 19, 2018 at 12:30 pm #1430978stormnolanParticipantCourtney,
Who should we contact to resolve this issue?
January 22, 2018 at 4:34 am #1432185CourtneyMemberHi Storm
If the code I shared doesn’t work, please reach out to your theme developer to isolate the padding to just https://hopehumanesociety.com/get-involved/events/. We haven’t encountered this issue with others, so I believe this is a theme issue. Please let me know how they respond. Do share the code I provided previously with them. They may have a better way to isolate the fix so that it doesn’t impact other tables on your site.
We do offer 30 day refunds if you find the plugin does not meet your needs. It’s just a matter of submitting a refund request form at https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/refund-policy/.
Thanks
