There is something wrong with displaying future event listings. This happens in View As List and View As Photo. My programmer tells me he believes this could be an AJAX issue and with his help we believe we’ve nailed down a procedure to replicate the issue reliably.

    The procedure is as follows:

    [ol]
    [li]Visit the events listing page.
[li]Scroll to the end (screenshot 1) and click Next Events. The Next Events page will be blank (screenshot 2) even though there are events in the future.
[li]Click Previous Events from here, then all events, including the future events that should have displayed, magically appear (screenshot 3).
    [/ol]

This happened with older versions of The Events Calendar and older WordPress as well.

Hi Paolo. Thanks for the detailed question.

I visited our demo site’s Photo View: http://wpshindig.com/events/photo/

Clicked the “Next Events” link at the bottom, which takes me to http://wpshindig.com/events/photo/?action=tribe_photo&tribe_paged=2&tribe_event_display=photo via Ajax, but it’s not blank.

Since I’m unable to replicate this, I’d suggest following our recommended troubleshooting steps:

There might be some new updates available. Could you please make sure all your Modern Tribe plugins (and WordPress core) are at their latest versions?

Once you verify you’re on the latest versions, please test to see if the issue is still happening for you.

If it is, please follow our Testing for Conflicts Guide (basically switch to TwentySixteen theme and deactivate all plugins and custom code other than Modern Tribe plugins) and see if that helps narrow down the cause of this.

If it doesn’t, please enable WP_DEBUG and WP_DEBUG_LOG and share any PHP errors you see while changing tickets quantity, navigating your site’s home page, events page, single-event pages, and any other of your site’s pages relevant to this ticket.

Then, please share your System Information (while in Testing for Conflicts mode).

You might also see if you can spot any console errors at your site. (If needed, you may reference our KB article Using Google Chrome Developer Tools.)

Let us know what you find out.

    Thanks.

We didn’t get the log when we previously disabled plugins and switched to the default theme. Since this is a live site, using a different theme is not an option. Attached to this post is a slight variation of the same issue, where the first screenshot is a reduced amount of upcoming events, the second is the results of clicking next (instead of blank or the amount it’s supposed to shows only the farthest in the future one), the third being a fully populated upcoming list when clicking previous after the second screen. This happens with Safari, Chrome, and Firefox.

It’s probably down to a conflict with the Elegant Themes framework, but using another theme is non-negotiable.

Are you on the latest versions of WordPress (4.6.1), Elegant Themes framework (what version of which theme?), and all our plugins? The system information report you submitted with your initial post didn’t have most of the information I was expecting in it, but I did see from your screenshots that you have 8 updates to-do.

Our Fix Divi theme pagination problems plugin may assist with your Elegant Themes framework (even if it’s not Divi) if part of the issue is that number of posts per page setting.

For example, at the Photo view of an Event Category on our demo site — http://wpshindig.com/events/category/tech-meetups/photo/ — there is no “Next Events” link because it loads ALL upcoming events within that category all on the first page.

Hey there! This thread has been pretty quiet for the last three weeks, so we’re going to go ahead and close it to avoid confusion with other topics. If you’re still looking for help with this, please do open a new thread, reference this one and we’d be more than happy to continue the conversation over there.

    Thanks so much!
