This is a re-opened conversation from this topic: https://theeventscalendar.com/support/forums/topic/lose-filter-selection-on-next-month/

    Hello,

I finally did as much testing as a could on the site and it does appear to be a conflict with the theme we are using. I’m trying to figure out what the theme override is without any luck… Help? The theme itself as well as the plugins are up-to-date.

Thanks for your efforts. Unfortunately, we don’t have any known issues/conflicts with Enfold Theme and cannot help with theme integrations, per our Scope of Support / Terms.

However, I can tell you that I saw some console errors at your site (if needed, you may reference our KB article Using Google Chrome Developer Tools) relating to Ajax: https://cl.ly/012b0U3n0L3K

You might want to share that with your theme author.

If you need some coding help, you may want to ask your developer or reference our documentation and list of known customizers.

Thank you very much for your understanding.

Something I’ve noticed is that when you click to the next month, it directs you to a new page. However, in the Events Calendar Pro demo, you stay on the same page and the calendar updates only. I think the issue is that because the plugin is Javascript/AJAX based, it cannot remember the selected filter on a new page (because the plugin itself is being refreshed).

    EBMC Calendar: http://ebmcnew.pairsite.com/calendar/
    Demo Calendar: http://wpshindig.com/events/month/

I think the issue is the calendar itself. When you click to view the next month, the calendar should populate rather than re-direct to a new page.

    Suggestions?

Yes, this is likely an Ajax conflict with your theme and our plugin.

I’d suggest following these recommended troubleshooting steps for your own site:

There might be some new updates available. Could you please make sure all your Modern Tribe plugins (and WordPress core) are at their latest versions?

Once you verify you’re on the latest versions, please test to see if the issue is still happening for you.

If it is, please follow our Testing for Conflicts Guide (basically switch to Twenty Sixteen theme and deactivate all plugins and custom code other than Modern Tribe plugins) and see if that helps narrow down the cause of this.

If it doesn’t, please enable WP_DEBUG and WP_DEBUG_LOG and share any debug messages you see while changing tickets quantity, navigating your site’s home page, events page, single-event pages, and any other of your site’s pages relevant to this ticket.

Then, please re-share your System Information (while in Testing for Conflicts Mode). That will give me a lot of extra information to help diagnose the problem.

Let us know what you find out.

    Thanks.

Nothing has changed on my end so I’ve made all of the updates as requested: All of the plugins and WordPress core are now up-to-date, wp_debug and wp_debugg_log are now turned on and system information is set to share.

Please let me know what else I can do on my end to figure this out… thank you.

If WP_DEBUG and WP_DEBUG_LOG are enabled, then try switching months (which should happen via Ajax but instead reloads the page) and see if it throws a WP_DEBUG message at /wp-content/debug.log

If it doesn’t, you might try also enabling SCRIPT_DEBUG and watching the console while doing the same.

Finally, if you can’t figure it out, I’d point you to the theme author for further support.

Hey there! This thread has been pretty quiet for the last three weeks, so we’re going to go ahead and close it to avoid confusion with other topics. If you’re still looking for help with this, please do open a new thread, reference this one and we’d be more than happy to continue the conversation over there.

    Thanks so much!
