    Hi there,
We are using The Events Calendar Pro on a live site, and have had virtually no problems with it for over a year, but suddenly our default “List View” page is displaying a message that says “There were no results found.”

For the time being, I have changed it to display the Calendar view for our client’s patrons, but they do prefer the list view. The website is http://doloreslibrary.org/events and you can see right away in the sidebar that there are, in fact, many upcoming events.

We have updated all plugins, and are running the most current version of WordPress.
I tried resaving the Permalinks, as that sometimes fixes conflicts that arise after first installing the plugin.

We do LOVE love love The Events Calendar, and will continue to use it!
Thanks for you help in figuring this out.

I did find a thread that mentioned this problem recently but it seemed to be specific to German translations, and was closed to new replies: https://theeventscalendar.com/support/forums/topic/no-results-message-in-list-view-when-there-are-actually-upcoming-events/
We are still experiencing the issue, and are using the plugin without any translations.

I’m not able to deactivate all other plugins or change themes because it’s being used on a live site.
    Many thanks!

    Hi,

Thanks for using our plugins. Sorry for the issues you are having.

I can help troubleshoot them with you.

I visited your site and see what you mean.

Can you please run through our testing for conflicts guide and see if that reveals the source of the issue:

Testing Conflicts With Themes and Other Plugins

Let me know what you find out and we can go from here.

    Thanks

It appears we have a theme conflict. What are the steps needed to rectify this? We are using a Builder child theme that has been customized, but it has been playing nicely with The Events Calendar for over a year now. Any ideas as to how we might troubleshoot this, now that we have it narrowed down?

    Thanks.

    Hi,

Thanks for the information about where the source of the conflict is.

Usually when I narrow it down I test with the child theme and then just the parent theme to see if the conflict is in both or just one.

If in the child theme I then would go through my custom functions and disable them until I find the source.

I also like to use a plugin like query monitor:

Query Monitor – The developer tools panel for WordPress

As it is good at picking up errors or notices and might find the issue without having to dig to deep.

Another option might be to change the Event Template and see if that helps.

    Head to this page:

Events > Settings > Display Tab

    Then change this setting:

Events Template to Default Page Template
