Marcel
ParticipantHello,
I get an error when checking the lisence server so i cannot update to the Events Calendar Pro 4.2 plugin.
Please help.June 14, 2016 at 2:45 pm #1127028Nico
MemberHi there Marcel,
Thanks for reaching out to us and sorry to hear about this issue!
Hopefully it’s just a temporary thing that happens form time to time – usually re-trying in a couple of minutes solves this. Can you please re-check now?
Please let me know if it works now, but in case it doesn’t it would be great if you could share your system information with me so I can check if everything looks right on that end.
Best,
NicoJune 14, 2016 at 11:18 pm #1127194Marcel

MemberThanks for following up Marcel, and sorry to hear this is still an issue π
From the system information I see that you have upgraded the plugin a couple of times (first installed version is 3.8.1). Was this working well and out of a sudden it doesn’t work anymore? Do you have a site in another server (local maybe) where you can test this? Can you please send over a screenshot of the error?
I just temporarily configured your license key in my local site and it validates as expected (I disconnect it afterwards), so not sure about this issue. My guess is there’s an issue with the servers communication more that an issue with the license itself.
Anyway for now you can perform a manual update of the plugins until we reach to the bottom of the issue!
Thanks,

ParticipantHi Nico,
FYI: Manual updating the Pro plugin worked fine!

MemberThanks for the follow-up Marcel! Glad to hear you could update the plugins manually for now π
As stated before my guess is this issue relates with some server configuration possibly. Do you have a local or development site in a different server you can run a witness test?
Maybe reach out to your server admin and ask about this? Inspecting the server error log might be a good idea as well.
Please let me know about it,
Have a great weekend,

ParticipantHi Nico,
By default my hostingprovider blocks all requests to external servers and websites.
Their solution is to add the ip-address of your license-server to their whitelist. Can you provide me with the correct ip-address of your license-server?
