ParticipantHi there!
In Community Events, I want to use the list view for the sake of editing. Unfortunately when I click on ‘edit’ in list view, I end up with a new submission form. Although the URL does indicate that I went to the actual event.
Kind of weird. How can we fix that? Thanks!
Paul

MemberHi Paul. I believe what you’re asking is for your theme’s “edit” button on each event to go to the Community Events edit form instead of the wp-admin post edit screen.
To accomplish this, you would need to change the “edit” button’s link from something like http://example.com/wp-admin/post.php?post=205&action=edit to http://example.com/events/community/edit/event/205/
I hope this makes sense and your theme author might be able to help accomplish this.

ParticipantNo, I’m not asking anything 🙂
I am pointing out an error…
Let me try to explain again: default on LIST VIEW (community event) there are two options under each entry, ‘view’ and ‘edit’, right? When I click on ‘edit’ the programs TAKES ME TO the default submission form. It does NOT take me to an edit option.
Does this explanation help?August 2, 2016 at 11:19 am #1146721Cliff
MemberSo when you click the “Edit” button from the CE List, it takes you to the CE edit form but you’d expect it to take you to the wp-admin post editor screen instead?
Or are you saying it takes you to the CE edit form but that event’s data isn’t displayed in the form at all?

ParticipantThe latter: it take me to an ’empty’ submission form and, indeed, the event’s date is not displayed 🙁

MemberAh, that would likely be a problem on your site (not a known bug).
I’d suggest following our recommended troubleshooting steps:
Could you please make sure all your Modern Tribe plugins (and WordPress core) are at their latest versions?
Once you verify you’re on the latest versions, please test to see if the issue is still happening for you.
If it is, please follow our Testing for Conflicts Guide (basically switch to TwentySixteen theme and deactivate all plugins and custom code other than Modern Tribe plugins) and see if that helps narrow down the cause of this.
If it doesn’t, please enable WP_DEBUG and WP_DEBUG_LOG and share any PHP errors you see while changing tickets quantity, navigating your site’s home page, events page, single-event pages, and any other of your site’s pages relevant to this ticket.
Then, please share your System Information (while in Testing for Conflicts mode).
You might also see if you can spot any console errors at your site. (If needed, you may reference our KB article Using Google Chrome Developer Tools.)
Let us know what you find out.
Thanks.
