Hello, we are exploring purchasing the Ultimate Bundle for our soon to be released update to our site which is leveraging WordPress for content management. There are two main concerns that I hope to address before we make that request.

We are implementing a learning management system using the plugin Learndash. The main body of our learning content takes a blended approach where the learner takes an online course before attending an in-person workshop. The management of this in-person workshop is the piece that we are looking to manage with your tools.

We would like some integration between the two tools that can handle a few use cases. The first is that once the learner purchases the workshop they are automatically enrolled in the dependant course(s). Learndash themselves have developed a plugin that can make this connection to another event management tool, but we were looking at possibly bridging this gap with WooCommerce. Do you have any knowledge or experience around such an integration?

The second integration would be that once the learner has completed both the online course work and attended the live workshop, a course level certificate of completion would be made available to them. The certificate can be handled by Learndash but the tracking of the event attendance would need to be tied into the completion of the online course. Since we supply continuing education credits for other organizations it is important that we do not provide that certificate until both are complete.

Also, we have settled on the Foundry theme and if you have any information about how well your plugin and that theme work together, that would be great. I know that you have put effort into making it theme independent, but any experiences with the two actually being used together would be helpful.

If any of these features are not currently possible would you be able to give me some information on the pricing around customization?

    Hi Matt,

Thanks so much for getting in touch! This sounds like a really awesome project you’re working on and I’m glad to see you’re considering adding our plugins to the mix.

I have actually not seen this sort of customization implemented to our plugins before. I do believe it would be possible since tickets, when created in our system, are registered as Products in WooCommerce and associated to a particular event post. However, the specific functionality to register someone to additional events upon purchase would require a fair amount of custom development. We do have a number of recommended developers who may be able to help with this level of support, but I wanted to at least let you know that I haven’t seen a workaround for that to date.

Also, we have settled on the Foundry theme and if you have any information about how well your plugin and that theme work together, that would be great.

I did a little digging and the only report of an issue I’ve seen related directly to Foundry is this recent thread from just this month.

I took a look at that customer’s site and it does appear to be some minor style conflicts between the theme and plugin. In this specific case, I believe the layout issues being described there can be cleaned up by adding some CSS to the theme’sย style.css file that would clean things up quite a bit with very little lift.

That is the only report I was able to find, so it could very well be something specific to that customer’s setup or configuration — that, or no one else is reporting those issues.

I will point out that we offer a full refund on all our products (including bundles) within 30 days of purchase.ย That should give you a good amount of time to install the plugins and give them a test run on a staging version of the site.

Also, all our plugins rely on the base functionality of The Events Calendar, which is a free download on WordPress.org. You can use that to test the calendar’s basic functionality and ensure it runs smoothly with Foundry ahead of diving into the full quite of products. ๐Ÿ™‚

Does this help answer your questions? Please let me know. ๐Ÿ™‚

    Cheers,
    Geoff

Sounds good and pretty in line with what I was thinking would need to happen. Thank you for the list of recommended developers.

I posted this additional question over in the LearnDash support forums as well.

Does it make more sense to bring in someone with strong LearnDash experience or a strong Events Calendar development background?

Excellent! Happy to be of service and to hear that you’ve reached out to the LearnDash team as well. ๐Ÿ™‚

Please let us know if any other questions pop up as you dig into the project and we’d be happy to help as best we can.

Cheers and have a great weekend!
