ParticipantWhen we set the stock quantity for each product, it changes to 300. Please help us figure out why the stock is not saving as the quantity we’re setting it at. The correct stock quantities are: 130 for 3D CIC + QIF Symposium, 60 for NX MBD User Group, 60 for SOLIDWORKS MBD User Group, and 85 for PTC/USER MBE Technical Committee.

MemberHi Michelle,
I’m sorry to hear you’ve hit up against some difficulties.
Although I was able to obtain your system information it seems that – for some reason – data about your currently installed plugins is missing. To start with, can you share that information or at the minimum let me know if you are using Event Ticket Plus with WooCommerce, Easy Digital Downloads or indeed a different ecommerce platform?
I’m also curious to learn if you are using our global stock facilities (if you are unsure, it’s probably safe to answer ‘no’).
Additionally, can you confirm if this or a similar problem happens for all events? For example, if you create a new test event and add some tickets do you hit pretty much the same thing?
Last but not least, it would be well worth running through our standard troubleshooting steps (doing so on a test or staging site should be fine, if you have one) as plugin and theme conflicts can often cause strange issues like this one.
Thanks — and let me know how you get on 🙂

MemberThanks for the update.
If you edit the problematic event you mentioned in WooCommerce’s product editor and change the stock there directly, does the change stick?
(To clarify, if you edit the event the tickets belong to you can hover over the ticket and choose to open it in WooCommerce – where stock levels can also be adjusted.)

ParticipantThe change does not always stick. Stock quantity was correct this morning. I changed some product details (but not stock quantity). Then later this morning the stock quantity was incorrect. I corrected it, now it appears to be sticking (for now). Stock quantity changes for seemingly no reason.

MemberThat sounds … pretty weird.
How about this: can you create a fresh installation of WordPress for testing purposes (this could be as simple as installating it in a subdirectory, ie example.com/test-site and add only Event Tickets Plus, Event Tickets, WooCommerce and nothing else — then try to replicate?
Does the same thing happen there, too? I realize setting this up seems like a lot of extra work but it might help us to better isolate if this strange behaviour is specific to the live site or a more general issue.
Please also note that, due to some compatibility issues with WooCommerce 3.0, it may be best to stick with the 2.6.14 release for the time being.

KeymasterHey there! This thread has been pretty quiet for the last three weeks, so we’re going to go ahead and close it to avoid confusion with other topics. If you’re still looking for help with this, please do open a new thread, reference this one and we’d be more than happy to continue the conversation over there.
Thanks so much!
