I am running 4.4.2 and wordpress 4.7.2. I have deactivated all non-TEC apps in attempt to troubleshoot this problem, but it persists.

I am trying to import events from a single Google Calendar.

    Two problems:

    (1) Scheduled imports do not run at all.

    (2) A one-time import will run successfully, but it only imports new events from Google Calendar. If I make a change to existing events on the Google Calendar end, when I do another one-time import, it does not pick up the change.

    thank you for any help.

    Hi Joyce,

Welcome back and sorry to see you here under the circumstances. I’d be happy to further investigate your issues, but before doing so can you please review our Testing for conflicts guide and reply back with your findings? Please include your System Information as a private reply.

Once I have that information I’ll have a better idea on how to proceed. Thanks and have a great day. Cheers!

    Welcome back, Joyce 🙂

We are unable to log into customer sites, so I’ve removed your credentials from the response above. I would be happy to help look into this issue for you. Please visit Events > Imports > New Import and fill in the screen as you’ve been doing thus far, then take a screenshot and send it in addition to a screenshot of your Events > Settings > Imports screen. I’ll also need the Google Calendar ics link.

Thanks and I look forward to getting this issue resolved. Cheers!

    Hi Joyce,

Thank you for providing that information. We are aware of scheduled imports not performing, so I’ll include this forum thread to the bug report. Please stay tuned to our Release Notes and the plugin changelogs for more information. Thanks again and let me know if you’ve got any additional questions or comments on this particular issue.

If I can come up with a working fix until we can get a fix included in an upcoming maintenance release, I’ll be sure to let you know. I’ll also then be able to investigate the events which were updated on their source (Google Calendar) are not reflecting on your WP site.

Thanks again and have a good rest of your day. Cheers 🙂

What about my other problem: updates to existing events on the Google Calendar do not get imported to TEC, even when I run a manual import?

Sorry for the delayed response. I tested to see if I was able to reproduce the behavior, but I was unable to do so. I created a test event for March 3rd, then ran an import from Google Calendar which ran successfully. I then changed the date on Google Calendar to March 4th, then reran the import. Admittedly, it took a few times of pressing the “Run Import” option for the changes to take effect, but ultimately they did. I believe you might need to allow more time in between updating your Google Calendar events and running an import into your WordPress site.

Can you try confirming if this theory rings true on your site? Thanks again for your patience while I further investigated the matter and have a pleasant afternoon!

Hey there! This thread has been pretty quiet for the last three weeks, so we’re going to go ahead and close it to avoid confusion with other topics. If you’re still looking for help with this, please do open a new thread, reference this one and we’d be more than happy to continue the conversation over there.

    Thanks so much!
