    Hi
I am looking to purchase PRO and community events for my site. I want people to be able to add events to my website.
    Can I confirm a few things…..
    1. Does someone have to set up an account to add an event ?
    2. If they add an image is this the featured image ? If not how does it become the featured event?
    3. Can I limit it that only one image is allowed to be added? And can I limit upload size?
    4. Is it possible to hide an event from the widget but still have it show on the calendar?
    5. Can I set up PRO first then add community at a later date?
    6. Can I have shortcodes for categories? For example I would like a page on my site to just show ‘live music’ events?
Thanks in advance for your help!

    Hi Linda,

Thanks for checking out our plugins!

I’ll answer your questions one at a time…

    1. Only if you enable this option. You can choose whether or not users need to be logged in (and thus have an account) to create events.
    2. Yes, the image they select when creating an event becomes the featured image.
    3. By default, only one image is allowed, up to 300mb. Setting a different image size limit would involve a customization (see this post for more information).
    4. There are a few options for widgets, but some of them do include filters (such as categories/tags and venue) so that you can exclude events for that widget.
    5. Absolutely! You can come back and add any of our other plugins whenever you’d like.
    6. Yes, Events Calendar Pro gives you several shortcodes, including widget shortcodes, full calendar view shortcodes, and single event shortcodes. Using these, you can easily display events by category around your site.

I hope that helps! Please let me know if you have any other questions.

    Thanks,

    Jennifer

    Hi Again
Thanks for the updates. Is it possible to add numerous shortcodes or widgets to a page. Ideally I would like my home page to show Upcoming Events (maybe 3) then underneath Music Events (again 3) then underneath that Featured Events (again 3) and so on…..is this possible?

    Hi Linda,

You can add multiple widgets or widget shortcodes to a page, but you may run into problems if you try to embed multiple full calendar views onto one page or any onto the main events page. This is because there can only be one “main calendar” per page without some customizations.

However, you can add multiple widget shortcodes to the same page, or widget shortcodes and one full calendar view shortcode onto the same page.

So, using widget shortcodes, yes this is possible! Also, we do offer full refunds within 30 days of purchase if you’re not satisfied with the products, so feel free to test them out and make sure they do what you need!

Hey there! This thread has been pretty quiet for the last three weeks, so we’re going to go ahead and close it to avoid confusion with other topics. If you’re still looking for help with this, please do open a new thread, reference this one and we’d be more than happy to continue the conversation over there.

    Thanks so much!
