GuestI ran into an interesting ecommerce challenge in which they would like to link a calendar into a store. I think this s doable, but would like some guidance.
I already have an ecommerce solution I like to use and have many sites already using it with great success.
What we need in a calendar is to be able to place an image as an event that goes to the purchase box (just a typical Link) where they purchase and check out check out.
The Calendar I want to replace is one like https://paletteandpub.com/calendar.php
I did spend a lot of time on your site and found https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/adding-featured-images-to-month-view/ but need to know if the images are:
• Able to link out
• Be the scheduled event themselves
• Be more than one on a day (I understand it stretches the calendar out like my sample)
• Be mobile responsiveIf this is doable, which products would I need to purchase to accomplish this?
Thanks,

KeymasterHi Bill,
Thanks for checking out our plugins!
If all you’re looking for is a calendar with images that you can customize the link for, I think your best bet would be to use our free The Events Calendar plugin and customize the templates for month view to change the image links to your custom links. If you would like to simplify this process a bit, you could use the custom fields that come with Events Calendar Pro to add a “product URL” field to the event. This way, you could simply add in the product link when you create the event, and then have the field echoed out in the template for month view.
Using the code in the article you linked to, the image would only display if there was just one event for that day. However, you could modify it to always display the image. The image will not “be” the event (it will just be the featured image of the event), but by changing the link on the calendar as I mentioned above, users will not see the single event page.
As far as being responsive, you may need to do some tweaking depending on how much customizing you do with the image…adding multiple images to a day on the month view may require some additional CSS to ensure that it is displaying nicely on desktop and mobile.
We do offer full refunds within 30 days of purchase, so if you’d like to give this a shot, feel free to do so! Please let me know if you have any other questions.
Thanks,
Jennifer
