iCal importing but cant find events in search

    I may have asked this previously, but the business of life took over. now back to tackle.

    When I import an iCal url or ics file, the search works fine, it finds the events that I want.
    It says it does the import, but when I go to find my event, its nowhere to be found.

    Not sure what log files I can provide, etc, but please let me know.

    Hi. I’ll be glad to help.

    If I understand you correctly, you are importing an iCal URL using iCal Importer add-on. For example, you import an event titled “My Event”. Then you visit your calendar on that date and you can NOT see the “My Event” event there. However, if you use the Tribe Bar’s search function (above your calendar) and search “My Event”, you DO find the event. Is this correct?

    Feel free to share any links and screenshots or video screen captures you have that might help.

    Meant to say the search on the url or ics file find the event I want to import.

    Once it says it imported, there is no error message, so assuming it was successful, I am searching via the Event Admin page, the filter bar, and main website. and not finding the event listed anywhere.
    Basically appears to disappear into nowhere.

    Is there a debug, or a log file I can find and submit?

    Gotcha. Thanks for clarifying.

    We just released an update to iCal Importer. Updating your site’s plugin likely won’t have an impact on this issue, but I’d still suggest updating to the latest iCal Importer before continuing testing.

    I’d suggest following our recommended troubleshooting steps:

    There might be some new updates available. Could you please make sure all your Modern Tribe plugins (and WordPress core) are at their latest versions?

    Once you verify you’re on the latest versions, please test to see if the issue is still happening for you.

    If it is, please follow our Testing for Conflicts Guide (basically switch to TwentySixteen theme and deactivate all plugins and custom code other than Modern Tribe plugins) and see if that helps narrow down the cause of this.

    If it doesn’t, please enable WP_DEBUG and WP_DEBUG_LOG and share any PHP errors you see while testing the import, navigating your site’s home page, events page, single-event pages, and any other of your site’s pages relevant to this ticket.

    Then, please share your System Information (while in Testing for Conflicts mode).

    You might also see if you can spot any console errors at your site. (If needed, you may reference our KB article Using Google Chrome Developer Tools.)
