ParticipantI just purchased the iCal Importer and was told that i needed to update my Events Calendar Pro and Filtering. However, since I have done that, all of my widgets have reset. I need them back the way they were because they were customized in that location. Please help..

ParticipantThe current widget is optimized for the site home page and I want to ensure that if I update it, it wont change again. I just restored the site from this mornings backup. Please walk me through this..

MemberHi,
Sorry for the issues you are having. I can help out.
The update process should not change any widget settings so I am not sure why it happened on your site.
I have not heard of a plugin update ever changing the widgets on a site. The only time I have seen it is if the theme get changed.
Did the theme get changed? Is this our widget or other widgets?
Let me know.
Thanks

ParticipantThe issue is with your widget. When I install the iCal importer, it requires the Events Calendar be updated to 3.12. However that still leaves Events Calendar Pro and Events Calendar Filter without updates.

ParticipantI have not changed themes or other pertinent settings.

ParticipantDoes the Ical Importer need the Pro Plugin and the Filter Plugin to also be updated? There is no update button for them at this time.

ParticipantI just updated the events calendar to work with the iCal Importer and it says now that the Filtering and Pro Plugins are out of date. Also my upcoming events widget has disappeared from the homepage, but the widget still shows enabled in the dashboard. I need to get this working ASAP and would appreciate a faster response. The license keys are also showing expired in WordPress for Filtering and Pro plugins even though your site has them listed as active until 2016.

ParticipantIs there anyway I can get consistent help in a timely fashion as my hands are currently tied. I have paid for all my plugins and they are no longer working in their current environment. Please help…

MemberHi,
Sorry for the issues. I can help out, but [er our terms and conditions we may take up to 24 hours per response.
All the plugins should be one 3.12 or 3.12.x if there is a secondary release.
If automatic updates are not working you can download the latest version from your account here on theeventscalendar.com
Then you could follow the guide here to manually update:
As for the licenses I see them as showing active as well in our system so I am not sure why they show expired. Is it expired or saying out of installs?
If it is out of installs. Can you please try removing your license keys from your account on TheEventsCalendar.com and then reactivating them on your site to see if that resolves the issue.
To do that, login to your account and go to My Account > License Keys
Click “Disconnect now” next to all the urls and go to your site and add those license keys back.
Let me know how that works out for you.
Thanks

ParticipantIf I manually update them, I dont want the widgets to reset causing me to have to reassociate all of the filters again..

MemberThe widgets are saved in the database and the settings remain on manually updating Pro.
I just tested on my site and deactivated and deleted Pro and then loaded the latest and activated.
My widget was still there and the category filters are still in place.
So it should work for you, but it is always a good idea to backup beforehand.

ParticipantOk. Thank you I now have everything up to date and the widget is showing again, now I just need to wipe out the existing calendar events and add the new iCal import. Though I cant see where to wipe the entire calendar instead of deleting page by page.

MemberOk glad it is working now.
There is not wipe events button.
You could use the screen options in the upper right corner and increase the posts shown to 100 or high. Then you could bulk delete more that way.
There is a limit on that though and I would recommend not going over 200 per page.
Thanks

ParticipantThe iCal Importer is importing the wrong information with the associated events. It has my events listed at 10PM and Midnight when they really fall at 5 and 6 PM. The events are correct in our Events Management system. The Ical feed is also correct if I link it to any of my Google Calendars, but with your app, it is showing all wrong times.

ParticipantEverything is importing with exactly a 4 hour difference in time. The Time Zone in WordPress is correct and the Time Zone in calendaring system is correct.
