The timezone seems to be showing incorrectly when trying to export the calendar feed, no matter what view we’re selecting (week, day, month). The time/date is correct on the website but when we export it into a feed it’s showing the incorrect time after upgrading to 4.0
After looking at the ical file itself, the timezone looks correct:
DTSTART;TZID=”America/Phoenix”:20151207T140000
DTEND;TZID=”America/Phoenix”:20151207T173000
DTSTAMP:20151204T222349

Thanks for using our plugins I can help out here.
When you import the file does it show the correct times?
The file might be different as it gets changed to UTC 0, but should import correctly.
Let me know if the times are different when imported from the file.
Thanks

December 7, 2015 at 2:59 pm #1037199BrianKeymasterOk thanks for the information.
What is the timezone setting for the event?
What is the Timezone setting for your site:
Admin > Settings > General > Timezone
And what about the settings here:
Admin > Events > Settings > Timezone Settings
Let me know.
Thanks

December 7, 2015 at 3:43 pm #1037236BrianKeymasterOk I tested on my site and was unable to reproduce. So it may take a different set of settings or something else to create this.
Do you have any custom coding or snippets that modify the ics output in your theme?
If not does the problem get fixed after following our testing for conflicts guide:
https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/testing-for-conflicts/
Let me know and we can go from here.
Thanks
December 8, 2015 at 11:24 am #1037775Information TechnologyParticipantOk, so I’ve tried:
– Activating twentythirteen theme
– deactivating all plugins (except Events calendar)
– deactivating all plugins then reactivating events calendar & pro only
– changed timezone setting to “use sitewide timezone everywhere”
– changed WordPress timezone to UTC-7
– changed WordPress timezone to ANYTHING other than MSTThe site calendar changes, but the iCal export always shows 7 hours off no matter what time I place the timezone in. This is severely odd 🙁
I also noticed that when setting the timezone on wordpress to UTC-7, the ical doesn’t even show the timezone offset:
DTSTART;TZID=””:20151208T210000
DTEND;TZID=””:20151209T003000Any help with this is greatly appreciated!
* Also: there’s no custom coding for the ical feed

December 8, 2015 at 3:12 pm #1037871BrianKeymasterThanks for the information.
I have created a bug report to address this and I am now able to see it on my test site as well.
It appears to be adding the difference between the website timezone set in WordPress and UTC 0 to the times in the iCal Export and this is causing the issue.
So you are 7 hours off and on the East Coast I am 5 hours off.
I am not sure of the solution yet, but we are not able to reproduce it so we can find out a solution.
Thanks
December 8, 2015 at 3:21 pm #1037881pwnhccaParticipantGetting the same issue after upgrading to 4.0. Time offset on export by 6 hours.
