I do the exact steps in your screencast with the same result, but it doesn’t “stick” when I Update the event. It will stay as I set it with the WooCommerce active until I update the event. I have the latest WordPress, WooCommerce, Events Calendar and just bought Event Tickets Plus( see plugin screenshot).

I have saved my screencast to the site’s media library so you can see the behavior.

    The event is http://wildchild.tacomaweb.net/event/marketing-101/

    Thanks for any help

I see this showed up on it’s own without the context of the original thread, so adding that info here.

When I set up a ticket with a price (event tickets plus) and click WooCommerce, save the ticket and then update the event, it always goes back to RSVP and free event, erasing the info I put in my ticket. In your screencast answering the same question for someone else, you showed it working except that you didn’t do the last step of updating the event. In my screencast, the info I put in stays only UNTIL i update the event. Then the information disappears. As I just purchased the Event Tickets Plus last night, I’m struggling to launch this site and can’t do it until we can charge for tickets. Any help is really appreciated since I’m under the gun 🙂

Hi. Thanks for your purchase and detailed question. Sorry you’re experiencing this.

From your .mp4 video, I could tell (from experience) that your ticket never actually saved. If it would have saved, the ticket editing boxes would have closed, but in your video they stayed open.

Since what you described is not a known bug, I’d suggest following our recommended troubleshooting steps:

Could you please make sure all your Modern Tribe plugins (and WordPress core) are at their latest versions?

Once you verify you’re on the latest versions, please test to see if the issue is still happening for you.

If it is, please follow our Testing for Conflicts Guide (basically switch to TwentySixteen theme and deactivate all plugins and custom code other than Modern Tribe plugins) and see if that helps narrow down the cause of this.

If it doesn’t, please enable WP_DEBUG and WP_DEBUG_LOG and share any PHP errors you see while changing tickets quantity, navigating your site’s home page, events page, single-event pages, and any other of your site’s pages relevant to this ticket.

Then, please share your System Information (while in Testing for Conflicts mode).

You might also see if you can spot any console errors at your site. (If needed, you may reference our KB article Using Google Chrome Developer Tools.)

Let us know what you find out.

    Thanks.

It seems that this occurs in only 2 situations:
1 – With the Divi theme active. 2016 Theme doesn’t create that behavior.
2 – When logged out. Even with the Divi theme, when logged in, the issue doesn’t occur.

Ive posted a message on the Divi forum about this. Not sure what the next step is because I’ve done lots of WooCommerce with Divi with no problem. Any other suggestions would be great.

    Thanks

Here is what I’ve learned about my issue with Event Tickets Plus:
1 – It goes away if I switch to 2016 theme. It goes away if I deactivate the Membership 2 plugin (wpmu dev).
2 – It’s not a WooCommerce issue since WooCommerce checkout and quantity works fine with Divi and Membership 2 active.
3 – If I activate “only members can buy tickets”, then it works fine with Divi and Membership 2.

So it seems some kind of permissions issue is present with that combination of plugins. I suppose I can run it with only members can buy tickets, although that’s not ideal. If you have any ideas on how to do it the way I’d prefer, that’d be great. However, I’m not giving up on either Divi or Membership 2 as I have more invested in those so if there isn’t an answer in configuration or something, then I’ll stick with this workaround.

One question – I don’t believe I need the Events Calendar Pro version to do what I want, do I? I don’t think so but just in the off chance, thought I’d ask. I like the software and have used it before with no problems.

Hey there! This thread has been pretty quiet for the last three weeks, so we’re going to go ahead and close it to avoid confusion with other topics. If you’re still looking for help with this, please do open a new thread, reference this one and we’d be more than happy to continue the conversation over there.

    Thanks so much!
